what i look for in a film, above all, is emotion. i need to be moved. second come resonance and provocation. i also need to be presented with an idea i have not considered before. even a tiny inkling of it often does the job. i need to be made to think, to feel, to love, to fear, to (try to) understand and care. this film achieved all this at certain points, but not fully and not enough.

Not the worst, not the best Scream film. I liked it better than the previous two, but that's not a great compliment. The more time passes the more I realise that Wes Craven was Scream, regardless of the fact Kevin Williamson wrote it.

Issues I had with it:
1. The reveal was a letdown, the killers are barely in the movie before the reveal.
2. The kills are brutal but they are too quick, which means absolutely no tension. Horrible…

I knew David Corenswet was a great choice for Superman. I was hoping he would prove just how good he is and he sure did. He killed it, his charisma is off the charts. An absolutely powerful, yet nuanced performance. Sweet, charming, and well-acted. The man was born to be Superman. Great chemistry all around among the cast, especially between Corenswet and Brosnahan & Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult.
