Harper was way too toxic to earn this happy end.

Another absolute masterpiece by Kore Eda. How is it possible to portray humans in such a warm and understanding way?
And the unfolding of this story is absolutely beautiful and full of surprises. Loved every minute of it!

The daughter would've been better of with an alive father instead of one that died traumatically in front of her. But it wasn't about the daughter at all, was it? Just about someone not giving a damn about anyone in his life despite constantly saying the opposite.
This movie left me really angry at so much selfrighteousness.
