2 1/2 to 3 stars is not a negative rating
I haven’t watched this again but want to share my next day thoughts.
I don’t agree it is as misogynistic as some are saying. And I agree with Adam Nayman that it is more about nice guy entitlement than an incel fantasy (though this is a spectrum!). The rape-y theme is obviously intentional; my audience was horrified by it. But the “falling in love” montage is a hack job on every level and undermines that intention. That portion of their…
