Will hold every other movie I see this week up to this one. A perfect film.

Men think women have no agency but really they hold all the power.

Programmed on a gorgeous 35mm from the Academy Film Archive thanks to king Barry Dale Johnson and got to meet Elizabeth Berkley and see how much this night meant to her and then met her parents and while peeking at the monitors back stage watched her tell them “Dad come over here this scene is safe you can watch this one” was the most wholesome thing I’ve ever seen.

Ok so I know this is a movie for “car people” but as a secondhand fashion person I was swooning over every piece of clothing in Brad’s very worn-in wardrobe. Paper-thin single stitch tees, denim that look like the butt is gonna give at any minute, stained Carhartt work pants, button-ups faded to perfection, that fraying and pilling white sweater. Have read that costume designer Julian Day was inspired by 70s guys like Kristofferson and Newman and boy did he hit the nail on the head.
