Who knew a movie from 1965 about British game hunters in Africa who called local tribes 'savages' and went into territories owned by a tribe that worshipped lions specifically to hunt lions would be racist af? I couldn't help but chuckle at the beginning narration that kept calling Africa a country. This sucked but for hokey "Oh my god" moments this is uhh...something you can watch.
Wholesome entertainment that in no way would ever scar you for life. This is definitely not scarier than every single horror movie ever. Nothing about this movie is even remotely horrible or depressing. I don't even think this movie holds any relevance today, and it's a shame, since this is a pretty accurate portrayal of surviving a nuclear holocaust (I just read Annie Jacobsen's Nuclear War, and scientifically this movie is more on point than almost anything else out there).…
Another banger from Brewce Longo. Gotta say, loving the more heartfelt independent movies coming out lately. Take note and just try to make a good movie, don't try to make a meme. We don't need a horror comedy wink wink nudge nudge, we need awesome independent films.
