War Machine

Ritchson certainly proves himself as a bonafide action star in NETFLIX’s take on the PREDATOR franchise… and Patrick Hughes’ brash direction sure keeps a tired premise feeling fresh here, with some of the best action set-pieces to come out of the small screen in recent memory!
Courtney, Quad and Morales provide welcome fixtures to the proceedings.
Hoping this one’s successful enough to launch the franchise it’s undeniably setting us up for.

Bottom Line: Bring on WAR MARCHINES!

Crime 101

Pedestrian plot and characters completely elevated by taut direction, outstanding performances from the cast (outside of Hemsworth, who seemed asleep at the wheel) and a pulsating electronic score which will easily make my movie soundtrack playlist!

Bottom Line: Crime 1-0-WON!

Had always wanted to get around to Gerard Johnstone’s HOUSEBOUND (2014) based on all good things heard but never found the time. Going to make more of an effort now that I’ve caught this latest offering from him.

M3GAN was definitely a film I enjoyed, while it admittedly didn’t quite rise above exactly what I was expecting. Still,…
