The first half of this movie should serve as a time capsule so future generations can understand how American society collectively lost its mind during COVID.
Yknow I’ve been feeling eager to move back to the US lately. This movie made me question that. Ari reminded me how crazy things got.
Seeing this with a Finnish audience was a trip. Anti racist platitudes and paranoid Q type conspiracies were unanimously mocked. Laughs from the whole theater every time. I can only imagine seeing this in the states. I bet you’d be hard pressed to find an audience that can admit to the craziness of them both.
Fake corporate cynicism is cringe.

A bunch of intertextual and industry news references so you can simulate the feeling of being a Hollywood insider. Ugh.
