Actually saw this one three weeks ago, but was too flashed back then to even remember the existence of a cultural praxis called reviewing.

I always liked PTA‘s firmness, There will be blood is one of my alltime favourites (being a millenial Radiohead fan boy for almost as long as I can think helped with that). Seeing Licorice Pizza I was surprised by its lightness, thinking „Yeah, take it easy, pal — you earned it“.

We‘re done with Body Horror, welcome the season of the (violent) Paranoia Thriller.

Fun acting, great music, lovely 90s imagination that pays respect as much to the era as it does to the 2025-angle — and that persistant feeling you know from your „Why the f… am I being haunted?!?“-nightmares.

Punk Body Horror. Extremely metaphorical, extremely stylish, extremely brutal — basically just extreme. All gut punch, no smart-assery — this movie makes „Triangle of Sadness“ look like a Disney flick for marxist primary school teachers. You can love or hate it for its blundness — not the point. This one‘s all about punishing you for any pleasure you take in its 1st act — which can actually be a lot of fun if you lean into it. Just don‘t watch after dinner.
