The Avatar cocktail is no joke, people. The thing is like a pint of nyquil with glitter in it. Edible glitter. It knocked me out during the third act. Missed some big moments. No matter, my favorite part is the ocean vibing middle. Wonderful movie, here. I think I see some glitter on my hands as I’m typing this.
This is amazing. Animal Farm with kung fu cannibals and roller skates. Filthy and hateful in a way Tsui Hark would never be again after he discovered money, this whole movie has a layer of grime over it. Incredible choreography from Corey Yuen!
Perfect. I love how low stakes it all is. No one really grows or changes all that much, it’s little league! Yet another point for Walter Matthau being the Great American Actor.
