A deeply unsettling film. It's brilliant and I hated watching it. Dogtooth works as a stark and inventive experiment in boredom and abuse, but you could also see it as providing commentary on the Greek family, or the Greek upper-middle class. Nothing about this movie is great. There are a LOT of things to pick at but the pacing/signaling and the script are the worst. I was a bit shocked by how I never knew what part of the plot we were in. Even though the stakes were supposedly very high, every plot point felt somehow vague and unimportant.
