A flourish of style and form— a very special movie. Now announced as Chile’s Oscar submission, and rightfully so.

This one is best watched no context, and as Felipe so beautiful put before the screening: 

To say “enjoy” the film would be the wrong word… rather I wish you the best in your journey through it.

Witty, well written, but dare I say…

Netflixy? And not in a good way. Really detracts having these period pieces shot in the cleanest most high fidelity format possible. Film would have elevated this to a higher level of taste.

Still made my skin crawl enough that even Anna’s perfect nervous laugh and smile couldn’t get me out of it.
