Director’s Cut
This was really exhausting to watch. The camerawork is cool and stuff but it has to mean something. It just really starts wearing on you after a while.
I feel like every time this movie wants to make someone seem annoying it’s kind of a cheat code that they’re British.
This is a great movie to watch with your dad. Or any man really. My advice to the women of the world is to show this movie to a man in your life.
I like how tactile everything is in this. Dossiers, landlines, fax machines, court documents … Wigand is physically drowning in this stuff throughout the movie. It’s suffocating.
The ending is so beautiful. You still have to make a life for yourself in this world… and it’s a strange world out there!
