An interesting examination into the idea of being ripped from who you thought you were, and who others tell you that you are. Watching the Lifetime lineup of "Mothers Know Best," this has raised the dilemma multiple times of whether your child is still who you thought they were after prolonged captivity. And let me tell you, it's not as melodramatic as it sounds.

If this was a tribute to Hollywood's "Golden Age", I'd look elsewhere for some better standards.

About the only thing impressive about this movie is the set design and the score. Or lack thereof. Lots of period piece product placement and songs of the summer pervade a meandering plot. Does it go anywhere? Not particularly.

I just love his vision. This movie still holds up to this day. And it has one of my favorite actors, Sharlto Copley.

For a 240p rip I watched in a 4:3 ratio on YouTube, purely because Kinka Usher, acclaimed director of my favorite comedy Mystery Men, operated a camera in it, it wasn't half bad.

I wish I could see what was going on. Or if the girls were as cute as they said. Or if the comedy was as wacky as they were making it out to be. Some of the one liners and setups weren't bad for a late 80s…
