It’s pretty good! The found footage sections were particularly a highlight.

Well directed and performed, but the writing left a lot to be desired. 

Also the Boards of Canada song during the credits was a banger.

This movie is so goated. Obayashi is my go-to answer for favorite director these days, and while this isn’t my favorite of his movies, it’s still incredible. 

This was my first time seeing this in a theater and it felt like a religious experience.

If I had a nickel for every Star Wars TV tie-in movie that centered around rescuing Stinky the Hutt I’d have 2 nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

I’m sorry for complaining that Iron Lung was too long, this honestly feels like Satantango in comparison. Completely exhausting

Best part of the movie was when a random person gave me a Mandalorian and Grogu Burger King crown as I was leaving.

This was alright! Which is more than I expected of a video game movie directed by a YouTuber. 

It was a bit long in the tooth, and I wish there was more going on thematically behind the cool sci-fi horror premise. But Markiplier has proven himself to be a capable director, and I’ll be sure to keep an eye on whatever his next directorial project is.
