THEY DIDN’T HAVE FLAT TOPS IN ANCIENT ROME
For some reason, I have an incredibly vivid memory of going to whatever early schooling (like, pre-school) I would have been at explaining how incredible and shocking the twists and turns in this movie were to my teachers (?) and classmates. I didn't actually remember anything from this movie except for the main character jumping on the inflatable dragon with a sword at the end. But yeah this movie is kind of a crazy premise and I don't know what…
madea movies having incredibly dark storylines right next to madea doing her antics is always wild. i’d be lying if I said I didn’t chuckle at a few lines
Man, what a movie.
LaKeith Stanfield continues his meteoric rise on his way to becoming a household name as he portrays the conflicted FBI rat who grows close to Fred Hampton and climbs the ranks of the Black Panther party. He is especially phenomenal in the final act where he truly is torn.
Daniel Kaluuya is magical as the famed Fred Hampton. In his best performance yet, he is shown delivering awe-inspiring speeches and holding the attention of huge crowds. His accent is great too.
