I usually get around with babelfish and Google to translate Japanese webpages for me.

I encountered something on the Japanese Wikipedia about Outlaw Star. Turns out I was right about Gene's dream from the unpublished parts of the manga. I found the images long ago on Jump's website.
But I'm proven slightly wrong about Gene's connection to Future-Retro Hero Story.
I mean come on, the red hair plus Juji's enemies (Ark, Urt, and Hadull) from the Hot Springs episode?

But if the translation from Wikipedia I'm reading is right: Gene = suspected reincarnation of Azell. The..what?

So later on, would Gene would be able to perform Tao magics if this were true?

Probably means the Azell Dōjinshis by Yami No Mahoujin have just jumped the priority list of things I need to get. I've recently got a account with Shopping Mall Japan, hopefully they don't charge as much as Rinkya does.

Update!
Turns out that there are versions of the Future-Retro Hero Story, Ryu Knight and Outlaw Star mangas in Chinese/Taiwanese (Thank you, Japanese Wikipedia).
The titles on the Ryu Knight manga are different and the Outlaw Star mangas have different covers (Silver/White instead of Black). It's hard to tell the difference between the Japanese and Chinese FRHS mangas. The only thing I can tell is that on the spine covers there are images of certain characters, where on the Japanese ones there are none.

The Taiwan ebay is different from the other ebay country sites. So I can't cheat by logging in like I would ebay.it, etc.
You have to make a account on there in order to buy/bid.

I'm also waiting on a Italian seller to respond if he ships to the United States for copies of the Italian Ryu Knight. I have no problems with obtaining the German Outlaw Star, but I have yet to buy them. I do own the Italian Outlaw Star now, however.

Nothing still comes up on ebay.fr or ebay.ca for the French versions of Ryu Knight. Chevalier du Zodiaque is Saint Seiya, though. If anyone can throw me a bone on this one, I'll be thankful for it.

The Act 3 and Future-Retro Villain Story CDs came in the mail today, wrapped in Japanese newspapers in a nice big box.

I've probably forgotten how long ago I bid and won them on Yahoo Japan Auctions via rinkya.
Of course I was not aware of the 'ship request' form, stupid me.
At least I got them right before Anime Expo, so I have some time to listen to them before I leave.

And now, I will no longer use my rinkya account. Talk about costing a arm and a leg...
I need to remember about that other web site service that's cheaper than rinkya that allows you to bid on YJA since there's some stuff on there that's never on ebay.

I was hoping the FRVS CD would have more songs on it, but it turns out there's only three. With track 10 being the 'fun' song. Basically Ark, Kohryu, Urt, Hadul, and Zohar (in that order) sing along towards various BGM tracks and themes.
The rest of the CD is drama, drama, drama! Up to 28 tracks on one CD. The last track, which was very short, was odd until I realized it was Kohryu snoring and Zohar was bothering him (The Drama CD’s events were a dream?).

Now I have only six FRHS CDs to get: The BGM collection and the five Outlet CDs.

Sigh...
I'm a bit irritated at Anime News Network's Encyclopedia lately.
I've been typing up a list of names that appear in the 'Staff' and 'Guest staff' credits of the Future-Retro Hero Story and Outlaw Star mangas, so I can then look the names up online.

I've tired listing Hiroyuki Hataike as part of the 'Guest staff' for Future-Retro Hero Story and Anime News Network won't let me.
Turns out they have added a new slot when adding anybody to the staff for anything recently.
So it's not only being part of the 'Guest staff', it's also what exactly did they 'do' on the staff. Seeing as the English written credits don't give me detailed info on that, you can understand me being annoyed.

Black Point II's (aka BP #2 or Black Point 2) real name continues to elude me...
Since I've been trying to find anything earlier than Future-Retro Hero Story since that guy uses that darn nickname in everything from FRHS to recent works.
