Here's Me Complaining Again About Work
Here's how my average day goes.
I wake up and make sure I'm showered and dressed by 8:30am just in case works calls. Sometimes they call right at 8:30am other times it's 11am or 2:30pm. My "shift" is supposed to be 5pm to 11pm but that rarely happens (which is fine since I hate that shift). However, I am not getting paid nearly enough to be on call for my job. If I need to work a twelve hour shift, I normally will. If I get called in at 8:30am and sent home at 3pm and asked to come in and work 5pm to 11pm I will. I understand this is a normal shift for servers at other resteraunts but those servers have the luxury of a schedule. I'm just simply on call. If someone does not show up for work it's "Call Jennifer." If someone needs to go home it's "Jennifer, can you stay?" If they need me so goddamn much you would think they would offer me a raise or a day off since I only get one on Sunday and that's only because the resteraunts is closed on Sundays.
I was just called into work so one of the girls can go home early. I'm going to ask to get off at 5pm. I doubt that will happen.
