From Castle to Lewis

Dear Terri Edda Miller and Andrew W. Marlowe, you two rock, big time. I have no idea what you have in store for S5, but I know I'm gonna enjoy the ride. People who write finales that good can't screw up the rest.

And now that I'm finally caught up with Castle, I'm gonna start on Lewis, which wendymr has been recommending. Squee!

Plane phobics do not read!

Yes, I haven't posted in ages. In my defense, I'm still fighting with my tendonitis and it makes posting quite complicated (except for the times when I throw caution to the wind and remove my brace, like now, but don't tell my kinesiologist).

I met David Tennant!

As some of you know, 2011 has been a rather horrible year for me so far (bar my job, which is just as time-consumming as it's fantastic), but this summer proved that there can be a silver lining in every cloud.

See, I went to see Much ado about nothing on July 14, with my friend chandramas , and we had a blast (the play was hilarious and totally worth it - Catherine and David have such chemistry on stage, and they're both fantastic actors). Then the next evening, we went to the stage door, made friends with a couple of people there while we waited for the end of the play, and when Catherine and David came out, I got lucky enough to have my picture with David!

You know, I've always been very reluctant to meet famous people I admire, mostly because I tend to idealise them in my mind and I'm scared they're not going to be as nice to their fans as I hoped... well, I was wrong to be worried: both Catherine and David were absolutely adorable. See, I was wearing a wrist brace and a sling around my arm because I've been having a very painful tendonitis for three months. And so at the stage door, since people behind me were pushing rather hard, Catherine was sweet and asked them not to do that because my arm was hurt (she actually thought I had a broken arm). Then David asked how I'd hurt myself, so I explained and he was a complete sweetheart about it. When I asked him if I could have a picture with him, he said "Of course you can! Where's your camera?" and took the pose with me while my new friend Gabi took the pic.

I walked back to the hotel in a daze and I'm still on my cloud about the whole thing, even two weeks later! All I can say is, those three days in London were totally MADE OF SQUEE!!!!!

RTD's Era - Doctor Who meme of doom (with pics!)

Since I'm becoming an expert at procrastinating, and I've been feeling bits of nostalgia over the RTD era of Doctor Who, here's a meme taken from tvnerdgirl - with just a few transformations (I preferred quoting bits of episodes instead of explaining why I loved them, and I decided not to mention my least favourite eps, as the purpose of this is to remind myself of all the good times. Spoiler-free for S5, no worry!

Back on LJ!

At last. I know I've been away for weeks - RL totally took over for a while, but now I'm back, and what with brand new DW eps to watch, I've got things to blabber on about. How good is that? ;)

Now, I've been on a status-quo from fic-writing since I posted the epilogue to JIN. :P But wendymr and yamx have been bribing me to open up new Word files, so who knows? I'm all excited about seeing new Who episodes (me, the die-hard Tenth Doctor / RTD fan!) so anything can happen. *grins*

A/N: This story wouldn’t ever have left the realms of my hard drive without wendymr’s and dark_aegis’ huge help throughout the writing process. They’ve been the best BRs, cheerleaders, supporters, and brainstormers that I could ever hope for. Many thanks also go to both yamx and botanee, who brainstormed several scenes with me and were always ever so encouraging and helpful. The story is now complete, so I will be posting a new chapter about twice a week.
