Ok, sooo small storytime: Back in march 2020 I was deep in my Undertale phase, specifically my Glitchtale phase, and I had also just watched Kill la Kill, so then I listened to that one Betty theme and realized that it was based on Nui Harime's theme, and I was so inspired that I tried to draw both Betty and Nui;;;;
This is one of the first digital drawings I've ever made and the first that I've actually felt proud of!
So that was march 2020, and then in october of that same year I kinda,,, decided to redraw it!
And this was the october 2020 drawing. Was it bad? yes it was. Because I still didn't know how to use my own art style and I was learning, besides the concept of shading was new to me;
so then fast forward to may 2021 and I said "I'm gonna redraw it again!!!!!!!"
And we got this:
The colors were so saturated and the shading is... ew, also the lineart is agh
Buuut I was still proud of this!
So then we get to yesterday, and I remembered all of this because I was cleaning some files and found the folder with the three drawings, and said "new year new redraw"
And... This is the January 2022 redraw, changed pose, shading style, and everything else too!
(Og image weas too big and I had to make a lower quality version,,,)
But... I'm actually pretty proud of this one??? It's not perfect, of course it's not, but I had fun drawing it and I think it shows the progress I've made with my art!
So… that post was made in january 6th 2022. It’s been! a year and nine months! I was unsure whether or not to try to keep redrawing this thing as a way of tracking my progress, especially bc Betty’s creator has been proven to be a shitty person, but xd
but I decided that actually, this is not about the characters, this is about me, this is about my progress as an artist, so yesterday I decided that actually, I’m gonna redraw that.
So I did! I tried to get closer to the original pose, I tried a different approach. It’s imperfect, I can tell, I’m not as fond of it as I would’ve liked, but maybe it’s bc I’ve looked at it for too long. But hey! hey! it’s done!
Also, rereading how I talk about my old drawings, I was way too resentful over them, they’re just my art journey after all; I’ve changed a lot in this year and a half :3

y'know, it’s midnight and I’m tired but I can’t not write something about this?
At first this was gonna be a long, kinda personal rant, but I’ve decided to make it shorter, and just say that… I feel like it’s weird how people sometimes act like Autism/ADHD kinda invalidate anything else? “you weren’t a gifted kid, you were just neurodivergent”, which can make sense, but I’ve been told that so many times that I’ve had to look back and realize WHY I have trauma with academic stuff, and no, it’s not bc I was an autistic kid posing as gifted in primary school.
I’ve had people respond to me saying I have MaDD by saying that daydreaming’s an AuDHD symptom; or that my weird (/neg) food habits are just my ADHD (sometimes as in my internal clock being screwed and making me eat too much; sometimes bc people say that I eat as a stim? idk wtf), or that my very much disordered fear and anxiety over rejection and embarrassment is just RSD from ADHD.
I’ve doubted myself because of that so many times, wondering if maybe I don’t actually have anything other than AuDHD, which then develops into “what if I don’t actually have AuDHD”.
It just feels weird, to have someone express their symptoms for something that very much isn’t AuDHD, and replying to that by saying that it is, it mostly just feels like fakeclaiming, because more often than not, the symptoms I’ve mentioned are from disorders caused by trauma, and AuDHD are not, so it just ends up feeling like fakeclaiming? Like, “if all of your symptoms are from a non-trauma induced thing, then can you even say you have trauma?” idk
I’ve been feeling kinda bad over this lately and felt the need to write it out, sorry for the long post

Hmmmmm technically no, our current best friend does have some plural experiences due to bpd and dissociation and agere and whatnot, but they don’t consider themselves a system so like, not really-!!

19. Who is the most calm and who is the most wild?
Ironically enough, they’re both part of the same subsystem xd. Amai and Betty are polar opposites and completely inseparable. Betty is like that one uncle/aunt that just let’s you drink and takes you out to commit crimes and Amai is literally just our main caretaker, reserved and quiet and polite and, ofc, calm
Little reflection, but I have this thing where I love drawing artistic nudity, I love drawing nakedness and it’s a great exercise for anatomy. But as an ace-spec person that’s also autistic and fails to understand tone, I’m always incredibly scared of being told I’m sexualizing my drawings.
One of my most common body types to draw is “chubby with a chest that’s more on the bigger side” and I never really attempt to show these things as sexual, and a few people would mock me last year and say that I only drew “fat naked people”, and for a while I couldn’t pinpoint why I felt so bad about it, until today I saw myself naked in the mirror and just realized. That IS my body type, chubby with a bigger chest.
I just. I don’t sexualize my body, neither do i sexualize my drawings unless I explicitly want to draw something like that, which I rarely feel like doing. But just… Idk, I’m often so scared of sexualizing those drawings and it hurts, because subconsciously, that is MY body, and it isn’t sexual in nature and therefore neither are my drawings

Kiru: Well, while both me and my source are bisexual, my source is a cis she/they girl, I use she/they but mainly like to use rose/roses and lun/lune pronouns; other than that, our body types are not quite the same, y'know? She’s shorter and chubbier, I’m taller and not that chubby
Fischl: Oh my, yes; my source pretty much has confirmed canon MaDD so that’s a big big similarity considering that everyone in the system has it; I guess I don’t act the same way as her….. mostly!! Also the big differences are, obviously, gender, pronouns, and sexual orientation, and that I have a typing quirk
