Welcome to the Gym Show!

Hi everyone! Before I get to my idea, I've got a bit of modding duty to take care of. I hope that this community being exclusively mod-posted at the moment isn't stopping anyone from posting their own ideas. D: I'm so excited to hear ridiculous fic ideas and AUs that each and every one of you has swimming around in your head! Whatever your idea is, there's always someone else who will have something to add to it. GIVE US YOUR BRAINWORMS!

Okay, on to my idea. This has been bouncing around in my brain for a while now, but I don't have much figured out except for a few people.

Nino and Jun as rival cult leaders! Both would have their own compound, possibly in close enough proximity that new recruits to their flock goes to the opposite compound on accident. They would both have very different ideas about how the flock should be led, of course.

Jun is not very hands-on with his flock. There are photos of him in every bunker and his morning TV announcements are mandatory viewing, but not many people actually see Jun in person. Jun's people are very commerce-oriented, making outfits (full of fine fabrics and intricate beadwork, of course) and all-natural bath products to sell when they take trips into the town. Their uniform is a nice, breathable royal purple tunic. Jewlery is encouraged.

Nino, on the other hand, is constantly moving around the compound. He entertains the younger members of the flock with magic tricks that just further cement their idea that Nino is a miracle worker. Physical interaction is encouraged and considered a vital part of togetherness among the flock. Members are trained to have a very sharp mind and fast hands. Their message of peace is "Pull Pranks, Not Triggers!"

I think Jin and Yoko would also make pretty hilarious leaders, but I'm not sure about the specifics. I'm not in NewS fandom, but there is that whole "Tegod" thing, right? Maybe that could work its way in also.

Ideas? Suggestions for other leaders/members? Who would follow Nino and who would fall in line behind Jun?

to prove my point, this is an idea that's been bouncing around in my head for a few days. PITCHMEN! imagine it!

nino and jun are the top-selling pitchmen team in their region. they haven't gotten much better than their... unique selling style from the d no arashi days, but it somehow works for them. audiences are charmed!

enter aiba, a new pitchman who had been cutting his teeth for years as "over-enthusiastic audience member #47". when there's an open time slot right before jun and nino go on, aiba is outfitted with a handsfree mic and shoved in front of the camera. for his first time on his own, aiba does surprisingly well - he has so much enthusiasm and general interest in the dog grooming tool he's shilling that the call-in orders are the highest they've had in months.

jun and nino, of course, are less than thrilled.

...and that's all i've got. what other groups could be in infomercial-related roles? nagase writing a jingle for koichi's new brand of strawberry milk? yasu pitching his new clothing line home shopping network-style?
