I applied for a job in multiple locations of the same company. I really wanted to work for this company so I applied to so many locations where they had openings for the same job. It's been two months guys and I only had an interview call from one location. After going through the interview and everything I finally got a job offer from the district manager of that location (let's call it location X). I accepted the offer because it is the only one I have had from the company - I was not too keen on the location of the job (it's a rural location) but I figured that it's easier to get my feet in the door first.
After I already signed the paperwork and accepted the job offer with Location X, I got a call from the district manager of a different location (Location Y) to schedule an interview. I did the interview and it went really well. I told Location Y interviewer that I have an offer with Location X but didn't tell her that I already accepted the offer. Location Y says she will get back to me soon. If she makes an offer, I really really want to accept because it is a better location for me.
But how do I then back out of my commitment with location X? How do I tell Location Y that I had already accepted Location X offer before I got her call? Am a little confused on how to handle this.
I am just glad it is the same company because I really want to work for the company.
The two locations are in the same state but in different cities (Working in location X will be like working in Stockton or Burney Ca whereas working in location Y will be like working in San Franscico Ca).
Please I need advice, please how do I handle this?
tl;dr Grandparents don't say please and thank you to each other or other adults, but expect it from young kids without fail. I want them to model good behaviour but don't know how to approach it without sounding like I think they are rude. What would you do?
I live in Russia and would like to find a job abroad (in the USA or Europe). Does it possible to find a position being in Russia? Do you know some sites, employment exchange where employers searching for foreign emploees?
I have graduated from the university and have two years of working experience, but I am psychologist and work with children, so I don't expect to get a position connected with my education. However, I would be great:)
I have been unemployed for five months and I am feeling very angst. Because I have lost more than five full-time jobs in the past due to an adjustment disorder caused by untreated add. I am a graphic designer and attention to detail is crucial. Now, I am seeking counseling including treatment such as Ritalin and fish oil pills. I also changed my lifestyle and I decided to give up my career until I can solve my work problems: I live with mom and dad. It helps with the emotional distress of staying on my own, not having a job or money to pay rent.
I really need advice on how I can keep my job once I have one. I am not sure if it is my self-esteem and anxiety over my job performance that keeps me spiraling into circles of paranoa. Or if it is that I cannot communicate clearly my needs at work. Eitherway, I have been hurt and betrayed by many co-workers and employers that wanted to get ahead themselves instead of teaching me on how to do a better job.
How do I heal these scars? What steps can I take to get a new job?

I'm looking for a certification program that can help me get started in some sort of career. - relatively quick program, hopefully no more than a year - not necessarily easy, but not too difficult. Nothing involving complicated math or science or any real manual labor. - nothing too ~medical~ where I have to deal with sick people/bodily fluids. - not too expensive to enroll in. - potential for a decent salary (35-40k?).
I've gotten a lot of "find what you're interested in" answers but, I'm don't know what my ~passions~ are and at this point, I'm not sure I really care. College didn't work out, I've only had one job that lasted two months last year and can't for the life of me find another, and I'm turning 20 in a few months. Not to turn this into my ~personal journal~, but I'm increasingly frustrated with the way everything is going. I know becoming certified in something won't solve everything (if anything) and won't guarantee a job, but it's a start. I just want something practical to do. Any suggestions?
