SUNY New Paltz Fake Orgasm Survey

I am inviting you to participate in a survey that I am conducting on faking orgasm. I am a student at SUNY New Paltz. The survey is for a research project on faking orgasm. It has been approved by the Institutional Review Board. In the survey you will be asked a few questions on your own experiences and feelings on orgasm and faking orgasm as well as some general questions on the topic. It is not necessary to have faked, not faked, or even to have had any type of sexual interaction before. This survey is aimed to get the opinions of everyone. It is open to the public only requiring that those who take it are 18 years of age or older. Participation is voluntary and all responses are anonymous. It will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. If you feel uncomfortable, you may stop at any time. All responses will be very appreciated. Thank you
for your time!

**I am specifically posting here because I would like a larger representation of genders and sexualities within my work. =) I have about 1000 responses so far. 6 declared another gender and about 130 claimed a sexuality other than heterosexuality.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please contact me at: NPorgasmresearch@gmail.com

Meeting People

Hey everybody!

I'm moving to Bloomington in August to start a grad program in anthropology and was hoping to meet a few people via lj before heading out there.
I grew up in New Mexico, did my undergrad at the University of Pittsburgh (Anthro and HPS), and am back in New Mexico for the summer.
I'm gay and very interested in queer issues (history, folklore, literature, politics, early sexology, animal behavior) and am also interested in all of those categories at large, Central Asia, Chinese lit, foreign film, and crafts (check out my user page for a more detailed list).
I'm hoping to meet people with similar interests, esp. other anth grads.

I am a 20 year old bisexual female from the state of Indiana in the United States. I receive newletters from the Human Rights Campaign and was recently informed of a bill introduced to the U.S. Congress that would repeal the "don't ask, don't tell" policy currently enforced among homosexuals in the United States Military. Basically, any known homosexual will be prevented from joining the military or discharged from the military simply because they are gay. This new bill, called the Military Readiness Enhancement Act, would do away with "don't ask, don't tell" and institute complete tolerance of homosexuals in the military.

I wrote to my state representative, voicing my opinion on the bill, and asking him to support it. My request was denied. Apparently, my congressman believes that "homosexual activity is prejudicial to the good order and discipline of the armed services. For that reason, [he] oppose[s] any efforts that would allow known homosexuals to enter into or continue service in the military."

Now, I'm not a naive person, and I did not expect miracles. But I do believe that this world is gradually changing. As homosexual, bisexual, and transgender people are being more open about their sexuality, we are starting to be accepted for who and what we are. Change will not happen in a day... it may not even happen in a decade.

However, we need to let our voices be heard now, so that we can start changing the future one person at a time. For this reason, I'm asking you, whoever you are, wherever you're from, and whatever your sexuality is, to write to the United States Congress in support of this bill. It may not be passed and made into law, but at least we will let the U.S. government know that gay, bi, and transgender people everywhere are willing to stand up for their rights.

If you've gotten this far, thank you for reading, and please show your support for all homosexuals in the military by writing a letter today.

Although this is not a gay pride or gay oriented event, all Drunk and Unpublished featured poetry readings are gay-friendly. I encourage anyone who likes poetry to attend. Here is the low down.

Top 10 reasons to go to the Drunk and Unpublished poetry event:

10. There is a 99% chance someone will rant about Bush so you can feel political.
9. There is a 99.5% chance that if you don't come I will cry.
8. It will automatically get you VIP status in counterculture circles.
7. Make new friends.
6. Make new enemies.
5. Pick up a guy or girl, or both, or someone who is both.
4. Excercise your pretentiousness by criticizing people's own attempts at an artform.
3. Make new connections so that you can express you own superior attempts at an artform.
2. Look cool and intellectual by supporting local artists at a local not-for-profit bookstore.
1. Enjoy some good poetry.
