Is it possible to delete an itunes account?

is anyone else having issues downloading on itunes 9, especially podcasts? i have to keep stopping and resuming the download because it gets stuck.

Can someone tell me what this little half-moon like icon next to some of my podcasts mean in iTunes 9? One podcast has 4 out of 5 episodes with an icon... just curious as to why.

I'll screencap if necessary (but not right this second)

-find missing files and update them in my library
-erase duplicates
-can find album artwork for me
-and for FREE

So, I'm downloading an album. The first three songs download and start processing. After about 10 minutes, I decide the program must be frozen so I quit. Itunes tells me that I still have downloads and they will resume when I restart.

I restart itunes and it starts downloading songs 4, 5 and 6. 1-3 are gone. They never processed but they are removed from the downloads list and are not on my computer.

Is there any fix? I went to Store > Available downloads, and nothing is there. So it thinks I downloaded them, yet they're not on my computer and they are not in my purchased folder.

I emailed iTunes but I'm hoping you all might know something, perhaps a way to find the uncompleted file and "finish" it.

For the past two days I've noticed some weird issues wit iTunes on my PC. First of all, some songs will skip. It's not downloading anything new - I'm blaming uTorrent right now, but I never noticed any skipping before last night, and it's not every song. It seems like if a song skips, it'll skip a few times, then it won't skip on the next few songs.

Also, iTunes was disappearing from my taskbar, so I changed the option so that it would just minimize to my start bar. But I'm so used to double clicking the taskbar icon, and when I do that, it comes up.... I don't know the word for it. Not full screen. Cascade, maybe?

And yes, I did check to make sure the "show itunes in system tray" was checked.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated, especially with the disappearing taskbar icon.

I recently reformatted my C: drive as a last resort to getting rid of a nasty virus.  So I had to reinstall all my software, including iTunes.  My music is saved on a different partition, so it was all safe and I just had to re-add it to my newly installed iTunes.

The problem came when I went to sync with my iPod because iTunes says that my iPod is synced with a different iTunes (from before I reformatted) and it wants to erase my iPod and start over.  However, all my ratings and playlists and play counts are on the iPod, and I want to get them back into iTunes on my computer.

I can't seem to find a free way to do that.  There are some 3rd party programs that claim to be able to, but the cheapest is $20 and that seems kind of steep when all I want to do is avoid having to re-rate my music.. and preserve my play counts.  

Someone else has to have had this happen to them before.  There must be an alternative I'm missing!  :)

My Itunes player is stuck on 0:00 and I can't hear anything. I can't hear anything on Windows media player also. I tried follow directions on these two links:

but i can't find this file C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins anywhere.

Is there a solution to this problem?

Is there a way to stop AppleMobileDeviceService.exe from autostarting? It's a system file... I use iTunes on my come computer but I don't have anything else like an ipod, so I'd like to just stop it from loading to free up a tiny bit of memory. Thanks.
