Yeah that sounds like what happened with my game lol 😭

Challenge accepted

Idk if you thought about it while making the game but this could absolutely be a horror game if you leaned into it. I got jumpscared so bad the first time I got caught and it actually put me on edge 😭. Really good job though :) I like the idea that the player isn't even hungry, we're just trying to see how far we can push this farmer into poverty lol

This was really awesome! Tbh I ended up playing through more than once cuz I just really liked the mechanic :) The idea of a punnet square farming is such a cool concept to me, I just had to play around with it more. This is the coolest idea I've seen so far!

This is actually amazing feedback omg. It's crazy how much I'm realising this is stuff I kind of knew in the back of my mind but didn't want to acknowledge 😭. I actually cannot praise you enough though cuz if I decide to update the game and release a better version of it this list is a perfect starting point. Thanks for playing :)

Thank you! I have thought about making some tweaks and releasing a better version since this was really fun to make so I'll keep this in mind :)

Thank you! I probably spent more time than I should've on making the rocking chair look nice :P

Thank you! If you're talking about the green enemy I actually meant for it to be an avocado lol, but I think I didn't make it very clear 😭. Thanks for playing :)

Thank you! I think the animations are my favourite part :) I like the avocado the most

I got to 1 mil like a second after it hit 13 months 😭😭😭. Really good game :) I love how much personality the different content creators have.

This was really fun! I love the artstyle and the bar mechanic for collecting resources :) Also this is very good for your first time in Aseprite.

The rocking chair loves u too. Thanks for playing :)

This is a really cool idea for a game :) I think my only complaint is that I was a bit lost on what to do at the start, but that might just be me not paying attention. Also I love the artstyle, amazing job!

Thank you :) I was really happy with the goofy little vegetables

You get a new enemy type on every fifth wave lol. I prolly should've made it a bit faster to get to new enemies but oh well. Thanks heaps for playing :)

I’m glad you had fun! Your game was really great as well btw!

Thanks! I was really proud of the sound design!

Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the music and sound effects lol. I had fun making them!

Omg

Choo...

Good game! Art is cute and super aesthetically pleasing. Gameplay is fun and satisfying to learn.

Great job!

The way the theme is represented is really unique! The physics also makes learning how blocks will bounce off each other very rewarding! I think the only thing I would suggest is maybe a more noticeable difference in plate colours, since at some points it was difficult to tell some of them apart. Overall, great game!

Absolutely awesome! As a gambling enthusiast this game perfectly suited my addic- hobby...
In all seriousness the style and vibe of the game is extremely unique, and the gameplay feels satisfying; Risks are encouraged by the mechanics, and rewarded handsomely. Great game!

Yeah I think I needed some more upgrades to make it more interesting lol. Granted I joined the jam with a day left so I kinda had to crunch. Thanks for the feedback!

Lmfao I wish I could give 6 stars for theme adherence lol.

Super awesome interpretation of the theme! As a fan of bullet hells this was really amazing. The art is beautiful and consistent, the music is soothing and really fits the vibe! Only critique is I was a bit confused by the gameplay, though that might just be because I'm slow! Great job!

Thanks!

Yeah I think the one echoing piece of feedback is wrist pain lol! I'll have to make an update at some point. Thanks heaps for the feedback! I'll make sure to check out your game as well!

Awesome! The concept is super simple but addicting. As well, putting a pipe on each side of the generator is a stroke of genius since it makes the player move back and forth between two points, rather than being stationary, effectively doubling the stress factor! Great job!

Actually amazing! The whole vibe is perfect. I feel like I got transported into this strange pixelated cube world (where the working conditions are horrendous). The art is fantastic, the music is a vibe, and the gameplay is so stressful. Manager scary.

This was heaps of fun! The brush mechanic was so much fun to mess around with, it made me feel like a genius for parkouring on one pixel brush strokes! The platforming was solid and there was a very clear risk & reward theme when deciding to use the brush to platform easier, at the cost of getting closer to flooding! One suggestion I have was that the goal for each level wasn't super clear, and at some points I wasn't sure if I was at the end of the level or if I had to keep going. This is an easy fix though, and a coloured light or particle at the end of the level would suffice :) Played through the entire game and really enjoyed it! You did great!

This is awesome! It has a really distinct style reminiscent of flipaclip and old flash animations. As well the sounds and music, definitely suit the cartoonish vibe of the game. The gameplay had me constantly stressing about which bugs were about to bite me, and which one's were more worth my time. Overall an amazing game! I think the only improvements I would suggest is to change the way the nits timer is represented, since them overlapping made it hard sometimes to tell at a glance what timer belonged to which nit (Maybe instead you could have their circles coloured to show how close they are to biting you; green to yellow to red). The only other major issue was that the scaling was a bit off, perhaps due to discrepancies between my display and the display the game was designed on:

However the game was still very playable and I had a blast! Amazing job!

The art, music, sound design, and premise for the game are all amazing. However, I can't seem to get the game to work unfortuanately :(
For some reason every time I start the game and try drawing I get a weird error popup in the browser (which freezes the entire game and prevents me from playing), this happens exactly when I release my cursor to finish the drawing:

I don't expect you to know a fix for this since it's most likely not happened for anyone else, just thought I'd mention it. I can tell a lot of thought and effort went into the visuals and sound for the game, and this isn't really something you could've found whilst playtesting, so I'm still gonna give the game a super good rating :)

Yeah absolutely! I’m planning to try and play as many games as possible, I just haven’t had the chance yet since I actually had to leave home about 13 hours before the jam ended (hence why this was submitted so late lol). But as soon as I get home in a few hours I’m gonna play a bunch!

Thank you so much! I was really happy with how the art and polish turned out :)

Thanks! I finished the game and had some time left so I thought I could make something fast paced with bass to amp up the gameplay. I’m glad you liked it!

Yeah I think if I release an update after the jam I’ll definitely make a fix for the wrist pain. Thanks heaps for the feedback tho!

Thanks! I did think about people’s wrists hurting when I was making it but I wasn’t sure how I could fix it lol. Perhaps I could update the game with an automatic brush upgrade in the future. Though, I’m not sure if that would ruin the game loop. I’ll make sure to play your game once I have the chance!

P.S. I added the dating sim keyword cuz I thought it was funny and wasn't taking this very seriously (Hence the flaming skeleton background).

I use a networking solution called Photon Pun that offers free servers. Only downside is it only supports 60 Gigabytes of traffic and only 20 users online at once. If I want more users and bandwidth I'll have to pay a hefty price.
