This was also my third jam, although I only learnt game dev a few months ago. My game went well and I am proud of the result. I learnt movement and velocity more, I learnt how to do enemy spawning, upgrade systems and overall learnt a lot about Godot. There are definitely some flaws in my game, and some areas which could use a little improvement.

I love participating in game jams. The two other game jams I participated in had around 100 people, so this is my first big one. I love game jams because I can easily learn a lot about game dev without getting tired or burnt out, I can make a finished game I am proud of and I can play other amazing games.

Next time, I would put more time into planning. I had almost no plan, apart from a few notes. The no plan issue meant that I didn't know exactly what I should be working on at the time, which lead to me adding content on the second last day (mainly the upgrade system) and then it feeling unfinished. The upgrade system does work, but if I had planned better, I could have added it earlier, then it could have been better. Apart from that, though, I am very happy with my game.

Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback! I like your suggestion, I'll see if it works and I might update the game to use it.

Thank you!

Thanks!

Great game! I love how I can build my own wheel, its a very creative and fun mechanic. The different spells and enchantments are very cool too. I can see this game becoming even better if expanded upon. Another enemy type would keep the game from feeling too repetitive, but as you only had one week to make this, it's totally understandable. Well done!

Hope you like my game :)

Fun game! The sound design and visuals worked well to create a creepy atmosphere. Maybe some more abilities to keep the game fresh? Great job overall!

I'll check out your game and here is mine. Hope you like it :)

Thanks for the feedback! As the upgrades were added on the second last day of the game jam, I didn't have time to make any cool upgrades like I had planned. Glad you liked my game!

Great game! I like the different enemies and upgrades, and the art is very good too. I do think the boss (mainly the lightning attack) was too difficult. The game is so addicting. Well done!

I'll play your game :) Here is mine:

Fun game! I enjoyed playing the minigames. I did manage to get the ball in the pipe minigame stuck somehow. Very creative game, good job!

Fun game! I really like the music and visuals. Only complaint is why are the ammo boxes floating? I thought I would have to jump for them. Good job!

Great game! The CRT effect was so cool. The music is also really fitting.

Thanks for the feedback! I would have made upgrades based on XP, but I did not have time for that.

I love this game! Very creative concept, applied perfectly into an amazing game. The art and sound design is perfect, it reminds me of the old flash games I used to play years ago. Its insane how you made this game in only a week. Good job!

Loved this game! Not what I was expecting at all, but still amazing. The story is well written, the art is great and the music fits really well. But where was the spinning theme? Great game.

Cool game, the idea is good. The ships movement is very unique, but maybe its too floaty. Also, I don't know when I'm about to leave the map and die. The music, visuals are good and the quotes at the end are a nice touch. Good job!

The visuals and audio are so good! The narrative at the start is also a good touch. However, I found the game to be very confusing. I'd recommend making the game simpler. Nice work though!

My arm is now dead. Creative concept though! I don't think I've seen a game with this mechanic. The art is good too.

Fun! I didn't know what to do at first, but once I got a hang of it, I loved it. The gravity switching is a cool mechanic. The visuals are so good too! Good job!

I'll check out your game. Hope you like mine :)

Thanks for the feedback! Checkpoints are a good idea actually, I'll see if it works. Also, I would have done the upgrade system based on killed enemies, but since the upgrade system was a last minute addition, I just didn't have time for that.

Thanks for the feedback! I realised I didn't have a pause button when it was too late to add one :( Definitely something to add in an update! Also checkpoints are a good idea, I might add them too.

Thanks!

Very funny game! Very creative and unique. I like the art a lot. I'm not usually a fan of these types of games, but this one I enjoyed a lot. I do think the text could be improved a little, maybe clicking once skips the animation so you can read it fully and then clicking again could move to the next bit of text? Apart from that, great work!

Great game! Its super fun and so polished. Very creative game. The racers did get stuck tho. Overall, good work!
