absolute cinema

i got so addicted with the upgrades that i genuinely forgot i had a money goal XD
really shows what juice and polishing can do for your game

this was very miserable and i loved it.

possibly the most serious thing ive played so far. it does get a bit overwhelming by wave four tho but i still liked it! good job

a great mix of cookie clicker and fidget spinners. liked it :)
the only thing i didnt like all that much is that the gambling in this game doesnt really feel quite "risky", like it doesn't feel that punishing when you lose. although given that it's supposed to be a hypercasual game it might as well be a good thing.

this is indeed seriously fishy and indeed seriously relaxing =D
loved it, 5/5

a very nice little puzzle game, easily one of the best on this jam!

this is perhaps the best interpretation of the spinning wheel mechanic ive seen so far on this jam (and def one of the best games on this jam too)!

the only compaints i have is that sometimes the upgrade select menu opens right when you shoot and you can accidentally click on an option immediately without even having the chance to read what it does. also i'd probably add a few-second cooldown after you get hit because when the enemies surrond you it can be really tricky to get out alive ;)) also i wonder what exactly led to the decision of making the shooting non-automatic.

in other words, great job! :D

awesome little puzzle platformer! rather small and very polished. i especially liked the last stage, i think i had at least three of those "aha-moments" while solving it :D

goog job

the concept and execution is great and it's amazing how much stuff you've made in 7 days! the only thing i disliked is that the pacing feels a bit too slow (everything just kinda takes too long, from spinning the wheel to getting the upgrades).

oh my god this is PERFECT! i used to be a big fan of henry stickmin a while ago so this really resonated with me the most. love it!!! :D

easily one of the best on this jam. ive already seen a few battler games with spinny things but this is the first one that actually felt fun really to play!

also when youre gonna polish this further please make the healthbars appear directly above the fighters, cuz it can be really tricky to constantly switch your attention from the action to the healthbars

cool concept but it gets old very quickly. if you added a bit more variety (or just removed some of the levels and made the game shorter) it would be great!

There’s a tutorial on the right hand side of the monitor, which I perhaps should’ve made more visible/readable or maybe moved to a different screen.

Anyways, thank you for playing!

Thank you so much for enjoying! I really wanted to write a “pathfinding” algorithm for the persons so I could use it to make more difficult routes appear less often, but I just couldn’t figure out how to do it.
Also glad to hear that the metagame completion worked, this was literally the last thing I implemented before calling it a day, haha :)

Thanks for playing and commenting! Originally it was just supposed to be keeping track of the fans, but I quickly realised that would be rather boring on its own so I decided to take a risk and make it a “game inside a game”.

the concept is very interesting and has a lot of potential but it just doesnt quite feel fun to play.

i'd suggest replacing the free-move camera with a third-person controller, because it can feel really hard to control the player with the free-move one. i also agree with the commenter below that there should be proper controls for each axis.

easily one of the best so far. the main mechanic might feel very random but you can easily influence it with the upgrades. i might even say it became a bit too easy at some point, the commenter below is definitely right saying that it could use some balancing.

this is hilariously serious, love it. it can get quite tricky to navigate when there are too many cars, but that might as well just be my own skill issue. i appreciate you letting the player steer with their mouse since this is a lot more reliable than using the keyboard

this is great! easily one of the best on this jam! i really like the high-octane gameplay (of course i do, im an ultrakill fan after all) and the grimey atmosphere (supported by a banger soundtrack with some elements of my beloved breakbeat).

the main issue i see here is that the force you get after you spin feels kinda unpredictable sometimes, especially with its speed. sometimes it launches you very high, and sometimes it's so barely noticeable you just stay inside of the circle (happened to me once

certainly one of the best games on this jam! i really love almost everything about this - the juiciness, the sound effects and music, the graphics, the somewhat edgy internet humour

the only real concern i have is that it is a bit inintuitive, but still i did manage to get it after a few rounds. also huge respect for making the metagame challenge easy enough :)

the game seems to have softlocked at the campfire shooting section, so i couldn't finish it :(

this is great! i'd wish you also put all the tutorial tips in the description too just in case you forgot something

aaand maaaybe also specify that you have to get the ball into the correct sector for complete idiots like me (it genuinely took me like 5 minutes to figure that out lolll)

This took a lot of spinning haha. I agree with the comment on the game page that the win feels a bit anticlimactic. It does feel rewarding tho, so i liked it :)

overall great and polished platformer, the biggest problem i personally have with it is that it can often be very tricky to control the dash (especially in the later stages where you have to dash diagonally).
a lot of platformers (including celeste iirc) have this little qol thing where within the first ~0.2 seconds after you start your dash you can still change its direction. this game, i suppose, doesn't and i feel this is what caused most of my deaths (i VERY often found myself pressing both A and S keys and yet still only dashing sideways) and what eventually led me to give up on the metagame challenge (maybe ill come back to it tho).

the audio and visuals are still great (but probably could be better) and the main gimmick feels quite fresh and inventive.

this is frickin' awesome!!! very solid idea and great execution. would be nice to have a bit more visual effects tho (some particles perhaps, stuff like that), because it kinda looks a bit bland this way to be honest. good job nonetheless :)

very nice gambling game, the main issue is that it's not quite as intuitive, i only fully understood what's going on by about day 4 or smth

Went for something a bit experimental for this jam, hope you’ll like it! https://amongryzh.itch.io/infinite-heatwave

gmtk already did that last year so i guess not!

very cool and fun! i find it a bit difficult to correctly switch lanes on speeds higher than 19, but i stilll managed to get a best time of 1 minute. good job! :)

(1 edit)

kinda fun but feels a bit boring during the first waves. also i'd restrict the player from starting the game without picking up any weapons because that just doesnt make any sense. also the floor becomes a bit painful to look at after a few minutes of playing, i'd suggest making it a bit darker or using a different colour scheme or smth

other than all that it's fine! good job

this is better than forza horizon 5. seriously tho i kinda love how stupid but fun this thing is :) like the way passengers basically function as coins which you then have to throw away. def one of the silliest and 'intentionally bad' ones i've played so far on this jam and i absolutely love it for that!

this is better than microsoft flight simulator 2020

the concept is interesting but it definitely could use some work. also level 8 was too confusing for me so i gave up. still a great submission tho, and i liked the background music as well! good job :)

really neat puzzle game. i liked it :)

(1 edit)

the gameplay was mostly fun, except it can be a bit confusing - it took me a while to realise energy is basically your hp and you lose it when touching the black blobs of dirt. i think some sort of a tutorial would be a good addition to the game.

also i think i dont even need to mention the absolute cinema that is the art and the music of this game

I love how stupid yet fun and addictive this game is! It was really hard for me to put it down. Absolute cinema, what can I say

certainly an interesting concept, but could be better

the physics are a bit janky, but it's very fun anyways! good job :)
