This is quite a bit of silly fun, and I especially appreciate the Snake mini game. Takes me back and nostalgia is one of those feel good feelings. Also that this is your first game, great job! You made a complete package, didn't over do anything, and were able to finish it on time, definitely give yourself a pat on the back for that.

Now, a couple of things I would improve for future games. Pure black on pure white is always going to be very sharp on the eyes, a good design practice is to use an almost white gray and an almost black gray, and darken/lighten either side when you put it together. Don't be afraid to use two or even three steps off of black/white.

There was one spin that the wheel didn't bring me to a mini game, it looked like it landed in between two sectors, but I had a similar spin before that that also looked like it landed between two sectors which DID bring me to a mini game. Not sure if that was a bug or it just landed in between, but if it was in between sectors, maybe a clearer and more defined line between the two sectors of the wheel would be good for the player to understand what's going on and not get confused.

An in game instructions/tutorial is often overlooked and underrated. Since your game is  a few mini games put together and the player does not know what to expect the first time, it's good to have some kind of instructions per mini game, especially if the game instantly requires the player to react and play, like snake and flapy bird. You might think everyone knows flapy bird, which might be true, but the player does not know they are about to play flapy bird. This will just help the player not feel like the first time at each mini game is not a total throwaway.

The art is definitely no spectacle, but all things considered it doesn't really take away from your game, especially because you stuck to the same visual vibe throughout. Consistency really holds it together, and considering it's your first, it's 7 days, and I'm guessing you did not have a dedicated artist for this. So, not the most amazing, but it does what it needs to and still allows the player to enjoy the game!

Honestly, I did have some fun playing the mini games, and if it wasn't for my groggy eyes I would probably play more rounds. Good job mate!

Cute micro games! I'd have liked if there was titles for each minigame, as it would help make sense of them faster, especially for the push the box one. I also found the flappy bird one to be easier when the game is faster, not slower. Had a lot of fun overall, hopefully you'll add more minigames!

This is a really fun game! All of the minigames are short but sweet and I LOVED the overall aesthetics, sounds, and music. Great job!

From browsing your profile, I understand this is your first game? In which case, firstly a big congratulations for completing a game and a jam; it's not a small achievement. Secondly I would like to congratulate you for making a fun game, I played through several times and I think my last run was 23 spins or so.

Okay so the good: I really like how you've approached this. Dividing the game up into little mini-games was really clever on your part. Firstly I imagine it broke the game up into more bite-sized chunks and was easier for you to approach as a developer. As a player this was also great, it added variety and meant I was only spending 20 or so seconds before moving onto something else. This kept my attention for far longer than if the game had been just one of the mini-games with more polish.

I like the art-style you've gone for and I also love that you've drawn most assets yourself instead of just grabbing them from packs.

I did find it that it became harder on the eyes over time, and after around 30 minutes I was starting to feel some eye strain. I think there are probably two things that might have help me here:

  • The first is perhaps not having the colours be absolute black and white, but a very dark shade of grey and a slightly off white. I think that might have taken a bit of the edge off. There may also be all sorts of colour theory out there about 'black' and 'white' shades that are best for this sort of thing!
  • The second was the aliasing. Because it's so low resolution and there's a lot of very fast movement, the lines can become really jagged at times, One thing you could look into in the future is dithering, which would have smoothed out some of those lines and jaggies. This is just a suggestion and there are many ways to directly tackle aliasing

I found the mini-games to be engaging and well scoped. You kept them small and tightly controlled which helped enormously. I have very little to critique here because I genuinely enjoyed them, they were simple but good fun.

I think the Snake controls could perhaps be improved. I found that the snake didn't always move when I expected, or that I had to be quite accurate when I pressed the key to turn. From my recollection of my ancient Nokia, Snake had input buffering; which meant that it would save the last input and then try to execute it on the next turn. I think if you implemented an input buffer like this, it would feel much better (for my own tastes at least). You could even buffer 2 inputs and it will feel more natural for the player to made sharp 180 degree turns with WASD.

I found all of the other mini-games to be intuitive either by design or familiarity of the game that inspired it. The sounds effect use was great and the music fit really well.

I wasn't entirely sure whether the game had an ending or whether I was supposed to try and keep going for as long as possible. This maybe could have been communicated better, but I did figure it out in the end anyway!

All in all I think this is an excellent first jam game, with only very superficial critique warranted. I was kept engaged throughout. Thank you and well done.

Very charming game! Love the artstyle and the minigames are fun. Though they could use a bit more of variety when they start repeating, maybe adding some rng factor, or add another element to *spin* things up a bit when you play a same game for the second time.

Cute little pack of minigames, the flappy bird one took me a little bit to adjust to the speed. The one-bit style is really cool too, great work!

This game is absolutely peak! The difficulty increase is tuned really good and each minigame, although short feels really well polished. Only note is that at the faster speeds the the flappy bird minigame just essentially becomes impossible the bird moves so fast.

Other than that amazing game, add a few more minigames and you are all set!

THIS IS SO COOL I LOVE THE ART AND THE MINI GAMES ARE SO FUN TO PLAY!!!!

I immediately saw the black and white art style and knew I had to check this out and you did NOT disappoint! The gameplay is focussed but frantic as you speed up each spin, and the music and sound that goes along with the art really ties the project together into a super fun project to play and an immediately eye catching game that can be enjoyed by most. I did think there could have been more variety, but the stuff that was there made up for that worry tenfold. I didn't get to play the TV minigame as I never landed on it but everything else was snappy, simple, and responsive.

This is peak, I could play it for ages and still enjoy it, spectacular job!!

the warioware ness of it all is immaculate

I LOOOOOOVE WARIOWARE-LIKES!!! I think the usage of spinning pairs really well! I really wish there were more minigames. I also wish for the block-pushing and TV minigame there could be a bit of variety/a switch-up (e.g. maybe you start on the left rather than the right or the amount of times you need to hammer the TV varies). I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

Well this is somehow not at all like what I was expecting :P

It's very simple, but it's fun and everything is implemented well. I went and made sure I got to try all the minigames and they're all straightforward and slightly challenging but not crazy in any way. Kinda reminds me of warioware a little bit.

Pretty solid! Good job
