How very brutal... but quite well made! Didn't quite make it to the end once I realized just how many yarns I would have had to collect. I'm impressed you made such a fleshed out game, enough that there was time to add buyable hats.

Submitted

Cool incremental game! I haven't figured out if the hats actually do anything though, and after a while I got kind of bored just waiting around, slapping my workers waiting to build up enough for the finish, there could have been more global permanent upgrades, like perhaps an auto slapper. I loved the art and audio!

That moment when i realized i had to slap them D: How could you do that. Youve made me become a monster.. or was i a monster all along, just waiting for that. for the money. for the power..

very cool game, the art was amazing and the concept too . The winning conditions were very crazy high without further upgrades though and right-clicking like that was not good for the web version.

The concept is really funny and the art and audio is great! I felt like the game got a bit monotonous after had fully upgraded all of the spinsters and was grinding to complete the game, but other than that I enjoyed this a lot!

So funnn! This remind me of the games that I used to play when I was a chlid hahaha

Lovely art style, reminded me of Yogscast and killer soundtrack. Nice incremental game.

Fun and interesting idea! The artwork is very clean and the gameplay loop was easy to catch on to. The panning over was a little tedious, especially when going for the end game which took a bit, otherwise a satisfying loop! I found it to be fun and silly  serious to play, good job and hope you had a good game jam <3

Fun game like others have said!

I think even adding a button where we could scroll to the next spinster would have been helpful.

Was really fun though it it start to get a little repetitive

Abusive grandma sim. It looks really nice, but I found the clicking to be a little exhausting

These ungrateful spinsters don't know how good they have it. Grandma should be paying HALF the salary they earn. SMH

The visuals are great! I loved slapping too. Very creative game, I enjoyed it a lot. However, I do think the win condition was too high, and moving with my mouse was annoying. Other than that, amazing.

i cant believe gandma is alive this is a 10/10 🥹

Definitely an interesting experience xD  A very creative use of the theme and the audio and art is very nice. I do think that maybe using the arrow keys or A and D to pan would be a nice thing to consider as it does get a little annoying to drag the mouse around the whole time.

The art and animations are lovely, and the music and sound effects were well picked. I love the way you characterized Grandma and the spinsters. The feedback via animations and sounds was great. I liked the detail of the spinning wheel moving faster when the spinsters were working harder. Grandma's pointing animation when one of the baskets is full was helpful and a good addition to the game.

I do think the win condition was set too high. Getting every upgrade takes maybe 10% of the time to complete the game, and the rest is spent repeating the same sequence of actions over and over. Combining that with the fact that there isn't really any reward like a final piece of art or something, I was a bit disappointed when I reached the end. Otherwise, was a great experience.

I enjoyed slapping. Didn’t like the panning around in a small screen, The art was really nice and I enjoyed the slapping sound. fun game for a few mins. SLAP!

Godot default UI theme my beloved <3

Maybe scrollwheel to help with panning?

Loved this. Really like incremental games, I'm sure this could be iterated on and get to a decent point. Art is nice. The circles around clickable stuff is a nice a touch. Really love that you straight up just slap them. Like this is completely polish-polish levels of polish, for when you slap: tween the progressbar number to visually bounce/shake. Maybe use Tween.Elastic for that. I know it's already communicated with the wheel going faster, but I think it could be a nice touch.

This game's theme feels wrong on so many levels lol
The visuals are great! However after getting all the upgrades, i feel like the gameplay slows down by a lot, having to pan the camera around all the time ended up feeling like a chore instead of adding to the gameplay (my opinion ofc)
Cool game!

Developer (1 edit)

It's true that there will be a lot of panning around hehe.
The game is intentionally balanced to be very fast-paced, since I don't expect most people to play for more than a couple of minutes at a time.
Thanks for the feedback!
