Satisfying sounds and lever pulling. All around solid looking graphics. I was a bit confused as how I was getting more credits but that didn't seem to matter cause I earn a bunch on almost every turn. The game was a bit easy but that's better than being too hard in my opinion, at least for a game jam.
I have earned enough to save these cats!
Good game!
Short and nice one. It's confusing at first because you get to spin the wheel later on, and increasing the bet should be easier instead of spamming the +10 button a lot
Nice little game, overall good but a sound slider would have been good (it was a little too loud for me). Also it would be nice on winning to have the symbols animate and showing the winlines like in modern slotsmachines (I worked at a slot games company btw) I didn't notice that I was winning until I watched below because sometimes I guess in lower wins It did not have sound. Still really nice and loved the "Bonus" that felt like the features of the modern slotgames that offer a small minigame to give more rewards. Great job!
Would be nice to be able to add more than 10 to the bet at one time, multiple options would be good. Audio was very pleasant to ear. Save the cats!
I like the audio and pixel art! Though it's fully your choice, I would advise against mixels though. I also really liked the rat minigame, overall a nice game :D
Good entry. I like the pixel art, and I think the concept could be explored more in future updates, so it definitely has potential.
I would like the option to type in the amount of money I want to bet, because at one point I had a lot of money, but I had to click the button around 100 times just to get close to the amount I had. Also, if you bet more money than you have, you instantly lose.
Anyway, I won so i’m glad the kittens are safe (?
I appreciate it! I definitely want to make some more quality of life updates for the game. The bet interface is on my list with several other fixes like the over betting safeguard you mentioned. Glad you were at least able to save the kitties. Thanks for taking the time to play and give your feedback!
Pretty decent presentation and who doesn't like saving cats? Unfortunately, I didn't find the game all that enjoyable due to the severe lack of player agency. The only thing I could really influence (apart from the minigame, which was a nice touch) was how much money I bet, which is not really that interesting a choice if you have no way to predict or influence the outcome. I think there's not much you need to change, though; probably just giving the player the illusion of control would be enough to make the game more fun -- see the Pokemon casino as an example.
I appreciate the honest and valid feedback. I had plans to add a few more player features, but life gets in the way. Will possibly add an update after the week is over. Thanks for taking the time to play and I look forward to playing yours here shortly.
I really like the music and visuals of this, but the aim is a bit unclear. You could add some cats in danger in the background and show how the game works, explaining that you need to get 500,000 dollars to save them. This is a great game regardless!
I agree, the game description definitely does a lot of the heavy lifting for player agenda. I had missing posters drafted up for the cats and a few other visuals that ran short on time to implement. Will definitely look into adding them after the week. Thanks for the advice and your time!
The spinning of the reels was pretty satisfying! It might be nice to highlight the winning combinations to know what caused you to win though, I wasn't exactly sure why I was winning when I was winning. The music and cat SFX were pretty great, too!
You know what...I thought so as well with the lack of pay line visuals. It would have been a great way to debug the reel combinations and decrease the lack of visual feedback when winning. I was also looking into lights to highlight pay lines. I usually work on these game jams the week after the ratings close out and plan to add more visuals to inform the player. I do really appreciate your feedback and glad you enjoyed the reels!
