This game would do numbers on mobile, being someone who swipe types myself. Really cool take and I loved the game even though it was a little challenging to play on mouse. Good stuff man!
oddly addictive ! I know i would've played a game like this for days on my phone to beat the leaderboard. Everything feels really nice, from graphics, to audio, well done !
I will definitely make a mobile version in the future, thanks for the feedback!
I love the art and polish! Got ~650 on 30 seconds.
This is one of the most polished game i have see so far.
So satisfying! Some words are a bit disappointing, like "mr", but I imagine it's unrealistic to curate the entire English language. It feels so good to control. I wonder if it could be made to support the trackpad on a PS4 or PS5 controller, if it doesn't already?
I hope you'll try and rate my entry too!
There's definitely a way to limit words to be a certain length in godot, or I could curate the list of words - there's only 1000 words, and I've already corrected some of the spellings to be closer to AU/UK English, it wouldn't take too long to scroll through it and remove the shorter words. I'm not sure if the trackpad on controllers is read as a mouse input, if it is then it should work with this game without any changes. Thanks for the feedback, I'll find some time to look at your entry too :)
I was quite addicted to this one, really reminded me of typing on a PS5 or Steamdeck track pad.
Also the touch of multiple gamemodes are is a very nice touch! I did notice a bug with the words mode as it will require one extra word than it says it will
I had the exact opposite problem while debugging inside of godot where the integer "WORDS" amount would be one less than the gamemode would suggest - it's probably got something to do with the score update loop. It seems the +1 offset may not be necessary in exported builds, I'll look into it after the jam.
Hmm that's a very strange bug just sounds like a weird compiler quirk.
I am curious if it's going to be like a heisenbug where it's there sometimes when you compile and sometimes when you don't
Visuals feel a bit more like a software than a game, but they are definitely very polished and nice to look at. The gameplay is nice, and it worked quite well even on a track/touchpad for me, despite what was said in description, but that was mostly because I have a physical LMB button near it.
I was going to say about how you can cheese it by just sliding across most letters quickly, but it actually isn’t very viable.
Holy moly, the visuals are amazing! It's so fun to glide on the keyboard to type, very unique take on the theme! Great work :D
Solid audio and visuals. This is making me rethink how I type on my phone. I've used the slide typing a few times, but this actually seems like it could be kinda viable haha. But I think on my computer I'll stick to my keyboard for typing ;)
Great take on the theme! I love it, the sound design is on point, visuals looking good, very polished. Congrats!
Very polished game(gj on the game feel) with beautiful artwork, I also liked the spin on the theme you went with :D
fun game, the swiping mechanic to type the letters of the words is neat.
I managed to score 610 on 30 seconds
great name picking! Gameplay is so much unique! Loved the artwork as well! Enjoyed overall. Cheers.
Now that's something I didn't expect to see converted into a game! Well done! It plays really well.
Always thought glide typing on phones was fun- except for Gboard not predicting the words correctly lol. Good thing I didn't have to deal with that here :)
This plays so smooth and looks and sounds great! As a fellow Aussie i really appreciate some of the references in that dictionary
Solid premise and great juice. I enjoy being rewarded for my memory of where letters are
For the few rounds of this i played i really enjoyed it! its a really unique spin on the typing game formula and honestly i could easily get lost in it if given enough time! great job, big fan of this one!
thanks for the feedback! i may or may not have lost an hour or two of time to playing my game too much, but that's usually a sign that the mechanics are working well, i guess. i'll check out your submission now :)
