Adorable game!! The animations are so eye-catching, and the controls are incredibly smooth. Can't wait to see more skills and fun creatures added if you decide to continue development ^^

The art is really cute, and the game is fun:) I had a problem with fullscreen, it didn't actually expand to my screen.
I have a few constructive criticisms that I hope will help, but the game is already great:)
- Maybe the bull-like creatures could charge up ahead before going after you?
- A little feedback from hitting a creature to show you hit it could be good
- I think it would be nice if the camera showed more in front of the player (so you don't accidentally run into a creature that's just off screen)
- Also, depending on the intention, I think maybe you should need to collect a number of sheep before going to the next level!
Good job though:) Would like an update to try again later!

Yeah I'm learning now that my code for full screen only works properly if you have my specific dimensions. I also planned to have many more animals in the game that each granted you a different ability after saving them but I really ran out of time.

Really enjoyed the look of the game, pretty simple unless I'm missing something, but it's very impressive for a solo developer who created their own assets. I adored the look of the sheep!
Thank you! Yeah every year i think of joining or forming a team and then just don't haha. The game is pretty simple but in future i am hoping to add a bunch of mechanics that emphasize catching more critters
Love the art and animations! Reminds me a lot of those old top down game boy advanced games. With some more mechanics and polish this could be a ton of fun!

Nice little game, if you continue to work on it after the jam i would suggest making the entrances to the levels a bit more visually obvious (or maybe i'm just blind) and potentially make some transitions between the levels. The character animations are great. good work!
Ahhh thanks so much! I think i might continue to work on it. I had big plans for adding multiple other creatures that would grant different abilities adding to the rogue like elements. I totally see what you mean about the room exits (grey on grey was a bad choice haha)
Your sprite design and animation work was the main highlight of this game for me.

Pretty cool game, i like the pixel animations, although the layering can be off sometimes
