A/N: I've wanted to write Hiro/Claire for the longest time, my mind for them is stuck in the Five Years Gone universe. Title taken from 'The Time Traveler's Wife', if you've read that, then this won't be confusing. Hopefully it isn't if you haven't. First drabble as part of my goal to write one every day this month, I'm a little over two hours late, but it took longer than I thought it would.

Summary: Hiro recieves a painting that changes his life and realizes that perhaps he missed some things about his future self.
Comments: Written after re-watching Five Years Gone and noticing that Future Hiro reacts a little...differently when he hears that Claire is, in fact alive. Considered AU because of a few things mentioned and has spoliers for something involving Hiro in Season 2. 

So we all know that tonight is Heroes' last episode before May. DDD: And after seeing wee Hiro and wee Claire last episode, we KNOW that these two must be destined!
