This seems to happen to me a lot in this community. The last post is by me, about the same topic.
But anyway:
Go see Water! It is amazing. Really.

sigh.
November seems like forever to wait for Deepa Mehta's Water.
I doubt I'll be able to catch it at the Toronto Film Festival.

New Community-- Prayer For India!
Greetings one and all,
This community is being established for those who desire to pray for India, have a heart for India, who are Indian (living anywhere), are missionaries in India, or just want to check out what God is doing in that large region. The purpose of this community will be cultural exchange between regions of India (anything from Divali to Desi food recipes to religious/cultural study to Bollywood), understanding, keeping up with news and needs of India, and correspondences between all affiliated with India in some way.
I look forwards to seeing what God will accomplish as we all gather together with one purpose.

Has anyone seen the movie Maya?
Marathi/Telugu films
Hi!
I am a German studying Marathi and I wanted to know whether anyone of you could recommend me any good films in Marathi.I`ve recently seen "Shwaas" and "Vaastupurush" and would like to see more.
As I`ll be in Hyderabad for 6 months soon I`d like to know about good Telugu films(available with subtitles as I don`t speak Telugu at all),too.I`ve been told,Telugu cinema was terrible but there MUST be some good films, too.

script for the movie "fire"?
Hi,
I'm deaf and I have to watch a movie called, "Fire" for class. Unfort. it is not subtitled and is dubbed instead, so I can't watch it and understand what is happening. Does anyone know where I could find a script or transcript of this movie online?
Many thanks!

recently saw "Bride and Prejudice"
I'm not sure if anyone has posted about Gurinder Chada's "Bride and Prejudice." It was quite an attempt to take a mainstream bollywood film approach to an English plot for mainly English audiences. But, the singing opera style in English to filmi and folk Indian tunes was hard to bear and really put me off.
Any thoughts?

Hey, I know this community is rather...completely dead, but I was wondering if anyone saw the movie Flavors? Personally I thought it was good. If you haven't seen it, the summary is here: http://www.flavorsthemovie.com/syn…
Some don't like it, some do. I thought it was nice and different for American Desi type movies.
Hey, sorry if this movie's been posted about a while back already...=(

Okay well, the last time I posted (which incedentally is the last post) I asked about the film Khamoshi Pani: Silent Waters http://www.imdb.com/title/tt035728…
I have now recently seen the movie and I thought it quite amazing. If anyone is in the Toronto area, it is playing at The Carlton on College St.
