Alex usually pulls herself into an octopus sort of shape, but she’s really just a blob. She can contort, shrink, grow, etc to take a form useful for her or her host.

This does mean if she falls from a height she goes splat

Alex is an artificially created symbiote who was going to be terminate for requiring too much energy and being sentient when her creators didn’t want that. Krystal was able to rescue her, and since Krystal’s powers mean she constantly absorbs energy from her surroundings, Alex and Krystal bonded :D
