Whether or not William died before or after FNAF 1 has been a topic of hot debate in the FNAF community for a while, but I think there’s a lot that people miss when talking about the topic. So if you’re interested in a half hour analysis of the evidence and theories, I’ve got just the video for you!
More for the toy-sized Transformers AU, if the Autobots could just leave and avoid putting the family they landed in the yard of in danger of attack from the Decepticons, they would. Given enough time, they could probably manage to find enough resources to repair their ship enough to make it flight-worthy, and once the parents do find out about the Autobots, they would be very on board with helping them relocate the ship off their property so that they and their kid wouldn't be in danger.
Issue is, they don't just need resources to make the Ark ready to fly. They need supplies for a rescue mission. Because it's one thing for canon Autobots to make contact with human governments and come to an agreement with them being much more easily able to defend themselves despite humans having greater numbers because of just how huge they are, and even then, there's still government groups like Sector Seven in Bayverse that captures and experiments on them since they're alien robots. It's another thing when the Transformers don't have that size advantage, and are much, much easier to capture, contain, and partially take apart and put back together for study, and seeing the Decepticons were hostile and had powerful weaponry definitely set up opposition and curiosity in the government and left a bad initial impression that the Autobots weren't able to fight back against.
Honestly, it's a wonder Optimus and the rest of the Autobots trusted the humans where they landed as much as they did, though it wasn't as though they had any other choice at the time
