A+ would nomnom again.
I spent the whole car ride home with a head full of story ideas! I-I can't remember the last time I went writerbrained for such a long time. AWESOME. :D
We went to my aunt and uncle's house for Thanksgiving dinner, and my uncle cooked the entire meal from scratch. Everything. Even the salad dressing. It was ridiculous and amazing, except for the part where I was so full afterwards I couldn't move off the couch and so was stuck watching football with my grandfather and my dad. I don't...understand football! Anyway.
Menu:
- Bibb lettuce salad with persimmons, candied walnuts, and cranberry vinegarette
- Roast turkey marinated with olive oil, salt, pepper, and onion. Unbelievably tender.
- Two kinds of squash: butternut with a parmesan-reggiano sauce and acorn pureed with apple
- Sweet potatoes with a cinnamon-walnut crust on top
- Corn bread and corn muffins
- The cranberry sauce some awesome chick made, idk who
- Green bean casserole (not the Campbell's Soup kind obvs, which amazed me)
- Challah stuffing with chestnuts, sausage, and apple
- Dessert: pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin pie, brownies, or coconut cream pie (!)
<333333 forever. I just got done eating leftovers for dinner om nom nom. Best part of Thanksgiving imo.
I also finished Tokyo Babylon! I had forgotten just what an utterly fantastic work of fiction it is. It's just good. Coherent and contemplative and deceptively simple. The Sumeragi twins may just have one of my favorite platonic fictional relationships ever.
Now that I can say it, I need to go holiday shopping, badly.
P.S. late to the party but how fucking awesome was the world's greatest Rickroll? Pretty awesome. And so appropriate for Bloo to be involved in.
