The theming is great, especially for a puzzlescript game. The effects of moving floors and getting caught (and the ending) are well executed. There is a big mish mash of very different mechanics (the magnets and item holding and detectors) and they're all combined and explored nicely. This is a lovely game
very high quality and surprising in its content and mechanics :frooog:
Lovely game, nice and pretty tight level design
super fun game, thank you for making
I think this is a really fun game. The mechanic of only being able to push keys when you're already holding a key is both weird and produces pretty cool puzzle variations. Whatever; video games are not real life. I did take off one star however because I feel like the color choices at the beginning are almost designed to hide the mechanic of indicating key holding by that single colored pixel. For that reason I almost skipped the entire game because I couldn't figure out why things were happening and the first indoor room seemed impossible.
Whoops...
I have to know, is there a way to pick it up???
nope. It would be a fun idea to somehow have an alternate ending though
I spent like 10 minutes poring over the last few levels (especially ascend 3) to see if there was a way... The way it just kicks you back to the level select felt like a sign XD
Very fun set of puzzles! Thank you so much for making it! I also appreciated the sense of humor with the magnets and cops and all the mechanics really.
there's a mechanic I'm missing here. I also can't get past the last two doors after entering the house. I'm guessing X is related, but what does X even do?
Regular doors can be unlocked by pushing or carrying a key toward the door. The solution to the first puzzle is, in rot13: Cvpx hc gur svefg xrl, gura chfu gur frpbaq xrl vagb gur gbczbfg qbbe. Chfu gur arkg xrl vagb gur pbeare, gura haybpx gur qbbe va gur fvqr cnffntr. Cvpx hc gur ybjre xrl, haybpx gur qbbe arkg gb vg, gura hfr gur erznvavat xrl gb haybpx gur svany qbbe.
Again, I'm missing the mechanic. How to do that from the corner? I understand I need to unlock the doors but not every key can be pushed into one. I see no "carry" option.
When you walk into a key, you begin carrying it until the key is spent, indicated by a yellow dot on your bandit's hand. If you then walk into a door, the door and your carried key disappear.
ahh. thank you. I guess I need to "mind" my pixels a bit more.
This was great!!!
Stuck on the first puzzle after you enter the house.
Really loved the single black dot door handle mechanic. Such a logical conclusion of the base mechanics you set up.
Whoops. This is the best game to come out in puzzle script in a long time.
Great game that focuses on interesting interactions and aha moments. Well done.
