And I haven't been around much this weekend because of that book (I just finished it a little while ago), and tons of shopping. Which included this dandy purchase:
It's not a hybrid, as we originally thought, but it's a Honda Fit, which is as close as you can get economy-wise. And $5K cheaper.

It's from the mule chase scene in Serenity. Where they quickly turn around and everyone slides all over the place. Hehe. It's the only "car" icon I have.

on 2007-07-23 04:26 am (UTC)They are more expensive and usually need to be pre-ordered... but I love my Civic Hybrid. The Fit (the new one we got) is sometimes hard to get, too, because it's very highly rated by Consumer Reports. We drove 45 minutes and had to hold it with a credit card number to make sure it wasn't sold before we could grab it. They are popular. :)
If you can manage to snag a Toyota Prius or a Honda Civic Hybrid, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
