   When I was packing for my first trip to the United States, I thought I would find a country where people live much happier. I reckoned it is such a relief when your life is not about survival as it was in Russia for me. I thought I would find a country full of happy people! :) I did not…
   After watching people in the US more closely, I found that they have so much in common with people in Russia. They can often be sad, frustrated, disappointed, angry as well as glad, delighted, excited, enthusiastic, joyful… They are worried about their kids’ future and health, they work too much… And I found the same phenomena here: kids are so sincerely happy, but at a certain age it seems that something gets broken in them - they start to carry so much pain, they become adults and very often life turns into a problem solving puzzle...

Hey y'all. What's good?

I'm a DJ and remix artist out of Norfolk, VA. I am the pro audio sales guy and Webmaster for DnD Music (http://www.dndmusic.biz.) Think of us like a big box instrument and recording sales spot, only we'll actually pay attention to you - instead of ignore you to get the commission elsewhere. No commission here. Just pure mom n pop music shop sensibility.

We sell guitars, DJ gear, recording equipment, mics...if it's used to make a sound, we can probably find a way to get it for you. We cater to ALL types of musicians. If you simply bang two rocks together trying to add that whole prehistoric feell to your sound...we can make you sound better doing it. We have a full service repair shop and regular jam sessions every week.

As a DJ, I've been spinning for 14 years and counting. I've been on stage with Grammy legends like RUN DMC, Biz Markie, and DangerMouse to name a few. I have underground remixes in circulation and am very active in the music community. I just opened up my own DJ class from the DnD Music Learning Center, adding to our 200+ students learning almost every major instrument out there within out classroom walls. Currently I am resident DJ for both The Granby Theater and The Velvet lounge in downtown Norfolk.

So there. This is for those who want to jam on occasion...learn something new, or simply be more a part of the music community in the 757 than what you already are. Just wanted everyone that gets WIC in the Western Tidewater Health District (Suffolk, Pughsville, Isle of Wight, Franklin, and Southampton) know that there is a new program for pregnant women and moms of new babies called Mom and Me. It's a chance for pregnant women and new moms to get together and talk about their pregnancy and parenting experiences with other moms as well as have a chance to ask any questions about WIC they might have between certifications or check pick ups. This month, durring Breastfeeding Awareness Month, they will be featuring issues surrounding breastfeeding from both the perspective of the breastfeeding mom and the bottle feeding mom. All Western Tidewater moms are welcome. Refreshments will be served and children are welcome. Call your WIC office for dates and times.

Hi there! I too am looking to get some clothing off my hands! My boyfriend's two children are returning to VA Beach in August and have grown a year's worth! Hence I have a lot of boys clothing sizes 4T and 5T that I am looking to sell at a reasonable price, about $0.50/item. I also have girls clothing ranging in sizes from 6-9 months to about 3T, also $0.50/item. Please let me know if you would be interested. I'd also be willing to trade these items for 7-8 year old boys clothing and girls 4 & 5T.
