“Such a shame,” Remus says, shaking his head.

Sirius’ voice is tinged with panic. “Help me, Moony, please!” He tries to wiggle free of a deceptively slender chain; one end loops around his wrists, and the other leads back to a notebook with “LILY EVANS” stamped across the top.

Remus cocks his head. “I think I hear her coming,” he says lightly.

“She’ll kill me,” Sirius says bleakly as Remus strolls away. “And you’ll be sorry.”

Remus pauses long enough to hear Lily -- ”I told you to never touch my diary, you mutt!" -- before he begins to laugh.

Author's Notes: My first,-but certainly not my last -drabble.

He winced as he felt his body tighten, white-hot pain running through his veins like lightening. He gritted his teeth, every muscle he possesed tensing up to the point where he felt like he was would surely explode. His father stood behind him, wand raised high as he cursed his son, roaring on and on about the shame the boy had brought down upon their "noble family". But Draco Malfoy wasn't listening. No, he had somehow managed to focus his thoughts on something else. The very something that had gotten him into this whole mess.
