With a Faery, Hand in Hand

I've been wanting to write this one for a long time, but I haven't had much inspiration beside this bunny—nothing with enough depth to write a full length fic. I'm hoping to inspire someone else to give it a go. Harry Potter/Torchwood

Harry Potter is the Chosen One but what if he was more chosen than anyone could understand?

Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

After Jasmine (episode Small Worlds), Gwen begins searching in her own time. She searches the past, missing children reports, unexplained deaths that center around certain children and she finds them - the Chosen throughout the ages. She tracks them, their families trying to find any leads ... any connections.

Were the parents left alive? How old were the children taken? How long were they allowed to live their lives before they were taken? Did they have any siblings? Did the parents have any other children after the Chosen disappeared? Were any other family members taken - past or future? Does the choice run in families?

She finds mostly dead-ends but a few leads ... all those leads are pointing to Harry Potter.

The hows and whys are up to you but I see the faeries as being the reason for Harry Potter becoming the Boy-Who-Lived. Maybe the laws of the universe or whatever stop them from giving him a choice before he finishes his human destiny. They can watch over him but they can't take him.

Can Gwen and the Torchwood team save him? Will he even want to be saved? The fairies have protected him all his life, after all.

- I would love to see Harry's childhood, maybe alternating between his POV and those of the Faeries.

Protect Myself

I just had a thought. I was reading jlmill9's The Twilight Books (great MST author on ffnet for those who enjoy them). But that's not what gave me the thought. I'm on chapter 48, Verdict, and I got to the bit where they bring in the tourists.

"Well, this is unusual," a man's coarse voice boomed.

"So medieval," an unpleasantly shrill, female voice gushed back.

What if the first voice was Vernon and the second Petunia? What if they were on vacation and they couldn't find a sitter for a young Harry? What if they had to bring him along?

When the slaughter happens, Harry manages to raise a shield or do some other impressive magic. He saves himself and attracts the attention of Aro, Caius, and/or Marcus. Unable to send him back into the 'human' world to live out his life until he's old enough (like Jane and Alec would have if not for the witch burnings), they decide to either raise him or turn him. Your choice, given age and any pairing you choose.

I think it would be great if he was changed young and paired with either, or both, Alec and Jane. Can you imagine how he'd turn out? The Wizarding World would be horrified! *cackle*

Oh, Baby, Baby!

I don't want to offend anyone but I'll say right now that I have never been Ginny's biggest fan. I won't apologize for that, but there are instances where I can, if not like her, tolerate her. This bunny is not one of them. It also has Dumbledore bashing, as well as a small amount of Weasley bashing. Write it however you like; this is just the way it came to me.

Harry and Cedric were lovers. The night of Voldemort's rebirth after everything is over Harry is taken to the hospital wing. He's pregnant. Only he, Dumbledore, and Madam Pomfrey are in the room. Dumbledore decides Harry can't have a child this young - what would people think? and there's Voldemort and the war to think about. Harry wouldn't be able to fight. So Dumbledore freezes the pregnancy and obliviates them both.

Events carry out the same as the books. Ick, Ginny but maybe it's something Dumbledore changed? I mean, he's a master of Legilimency, right? Not only is Harry a hero but he's the last of his line ... he needs to win the war and settle down with a nice woman. After all, a hero can't be seen as the submissive in a relationship ... as a mother.

The problem being? After his death Dumbledore's spells start to unravel - very slowly, giving enough time for the book to play out but not enough for Harry to settle with Ginny.

This can be reasonably crossed with just about anything. So show Harry, still pregnant or with child, leaving the Wizarding World ... whether it's because of the Death Eaters still on the loose, evil Weasleys wanting Harry to abort and marry Ginny - even going so far as to use potions, or just to get away from it all. Send him somewhere else.

- Must be a crossover eventually (it'd be cool to see Twilight - Edward anyone? Maybe Cedric and Edward don't just look alike, maybe they smell alike? Thus the child smells like his. Awkward much?)

- I'd like to keep it slash since it starts out as Harry/Cedric.

- Nothing can happen to the baby. Don't just kill it off or forget all about it - there can be near misses. Like, what happens to a baby that's kept frozen in development for years? What about when Harry is hit with the AK? What about all the other things Harry has gone through since the TWT? How would they affect the baby? This would be a great time to put your knowledge of birth defects into practice. I don't think I've ever read a story with Harry giving birth to anything less than a perfect baby or just miscarrying all together. It'd be nice to see something unique.
Hedwig

Goddess Hedwig

You never realize how truly weird you are until you start posting your bunnies. My mind is a dangerous place. XD

I'm sure we've all noticed that Hedwig is a bit too bright to be a normal owl ... even being Harry's familiar/companion. So ...

What if Hedwig wasn't *really* an owl? What if she was a shapeshifting God? Hedwig is Athena. Athena was represented by the owl - whether she herself was the owl or she was seen holding an owl. It was considered her 'symbol'.

Athena is the Goddess of many things but most especially she was said to be the shrewd companion of heroes and the goddess of heroic endeavor.

Though Athena was a war-goddess, she disliked fighting without a purpose and preferred using wisdom to settle predicaments. The goddess would only encourage fighting if it was for a reasonable cause. (taken directly from wiki)

- Athena is the goddess of wisdom, peace, strategy, handicrafts and reason, shrewd companion of heroes and the goddess of heroic endeavor.

Athena is also the 'eternal' virgin ... so keep her that way!! Do not under any circumstance turn her into a shy, blushing little sex kitten.

I'd like it if this was the Xena/Hercules Greek Gods rather than the historical Greek Gods but that's up to you.
Hufflepuff

Just Joking

This was one of the very first bunnies I ever wrote down and it still holds a special place in my heart. I would write it myself, but I've never been fanatic about the Batman fandom. I just wouldn't have the needed know-how to be comfortable writing something this in-depth.

What if the Dursley's were a whole lot more abusive than shown, causing Harry to go a bit crazy? What would happen if a desperate Harry overheard his Uncle Vernon talking about how he'd never hit a woman? Maybe telling Dudley. And what if Harry's magic reacts to his almost unconscious wish, changing him? Maybe Harry was very bright and mature for his age causing his magic to react to that and make him older to help the time-lines fit? And after being unable to get Harry to change back, either his relatives get rid of him or Harry leaves on his own. 'She' becomes Harleen Quinzel aka Harley Quinn.

Can you imagine the chaos Harley and the Joker could cause at Hogwarts or in the Wizarding World as a whole?

Pairings: Harley(Harry)/Joker -of course-. (If you write het better keep Harry as Harley; if you write slash have the wizards change him back without his consent) Any others are up to you.

Friendship Knows No Bounds

Another crossover; this one between Harry Potter and Doctor Who ... maybe a bit of Torchwood depending on where you take the story. This one is semi-bunny, semi-challenge. It's not just a bunny because I've added things I'd like to see in any fic done with this idea ... but also not completely challenge because they're not musts. Does that make sense?

We know the Tardis has some sentience. She can decide where and when to take the Doctor so he can be there at just the right moment to help someone or stop the world from ending. The thing is that the Doctor doesn't seem to pay much attention to that sentience. So, what if the Tardis was just a tad more sentient and decided she/he/it wanted a friend? Not able to get the Doctor's attention, I kind of think of the Tardis as a woman, so - she reaches through time and space looking for someone who's mind is open enough for her to glide in to.

She finds Little Harry Potter, just as the Killing Curse hits. Harry is the only suitable option, his mind is open enough to allow her in and he's still young enough to adjust to the power of the time vortex ... plus if she does nothing there's a very good chance he'll die. That said she jumps right in and siphons off some of the more harmful power of the AK and rejects what's left.

As the years go by, the Tardis keeps half of her 'mind' on the Doctor and the other half on Harry. Time whispers to him. Showing him all of history ... past, present, and future. Telling him of the Doctor, the Master, the Time Lords and their War through Time. Of Earth's history, how it was created, how it will end, how humans will spread through the universe.

This is a bit of an 'all-powerful!Harry' but not really. In my mind, with the whole of Time laid out before him from a very young age, he's very smart ... like Doctor smart. And in times of stress or great need he can tap into the Time Vortex through the Tardis.

When and what happens as Harry grows is up to you.

~ WHAT I'D LIKE TO SEE ~

You'd have to link up the timelines so Harry is still pretty young (maybe 6 or 7?) but I'd love to see something happen when the Toclafane come. Maybe the Tardis screams out in Harry's mind? And being his only friend he trys to help ... ends up (accidental apparition?) in the Tardis on the Valiant? I think the Master would be far too over-confident with his 'defeat' of the Doctor, so I don't think he'd ever think to check inside the Tardis. Maybe only going so far as to post someone outside so no one can get in? Maybe Harry can live in the Tardis for that year, helping soothe her pain? And when it's over and reversed, Jack finds Harry ... or even better, when Jack comes in to destroy the Paradox Machine Harry runs out to stop him from hurting his only friend? That'd be kinda cute.

- Slash would be great (much later, of course) ... if not slash maybe no Harry pairing? -

Ultimate Takeover

This one is an Harry Potter/Buffy/Angel crossover but can be written to encompass a variety of different crossovers.

Wolfram and Hart is multi-dimensional right? So, what if they recruited Harry Potter? Before he went to Hogwarts would be ideal as he'd be much easier to mold. I think this story would be the perfect setting for a dark or even an evil Harry. Maybe Wolfram and Hart had him trained in espionage and then sent him to Hogwarts to help the Dark win. If Voldemort won it would give them a better foothold in that world. With that done, Harry's work is done so they send him to another of their offices in another world. Harry will be their leading force for ultimate takeover!

You can make this a multi-crossover or just send him straight to the BtVS universe. It'd be great if you had the Buffy characters attempt to 'save' him. Call me a sadist but I love big letdown stories like that. Any pairings are also up to you ... I like slash but can read gen and well-written het just as well.

Bill Weasley / Indiana Jones Anyone?

This post is on behalf of a friend of mine... who suggested this crossover.

I can see it either as a Slash Pairing, or as an Action Adventure.  I'm curious how the Indiana Jones Universe and the Potterverse would mesh.  What would Indy think of the Wizarding World?  Or is Bill going adventuring iwth Indy?  Do they discover something to help overcome Voldemort?  Or perhaps a cure for Lycanthropy?

Such possibilities!
