Gravitation BADfic Anonymous

It has been a surprisingly quiet bad-fic summer so far.

No cutting, m-preg or Shuichi getting with a girl so far.

There's a bunch of poorly done "Shuichi leaving Eiri" but that's to be expected.

Lots of poor writing happening, but it's the usual that we all ignore.


So, what have you discovered that's GOOD out there?

Now before anyone gets bent out of shape, I'm not listing the usual great people who contribute to gurabite and to the fandom. You know who you are and you're all marvelous. I'm looking for new/little known voices to read and share.

I found "Confessions & Cigarettes" by Alec Shields delightful - good writing and brilliantly new storyline.

I adore GraviRemix's two on-going Remix stories, "Remix, The Beginning of the New Ending" and "Remix, Ending and a New Beginning". She's made the story realistic and added some twists and turns and original characters I really enjoy exploring with her. She doesn't update often so it's always a treat when I find another chapter.

I've enjoyed Mew Mokuba's "Second Chance" series. The grammar is not perfect but it's forgivable because she's stepped beyond the 'Eiri in a coma' cliche and put together an interesting series of stories.

Well, no one has put anything up here for awhile, but I couldn't pass this one up.

I attempted to read it, but after the first few sentences, knew I was in for a bad time:

"Damn him! Where could he be...? Eiri Yuki thought angrily as he didn't drove his car looking for his pink haired lover, but he ran out to find him after his mistake for yet again for another one of their arguments. Damn, I'm always screwing things up! He thought as he looked around anxiously."

I tried, and then I left a review. I tried to be nice, really I did.  However, here is her (instant) reply:

first of all:

I NEVER want a beta to read my stories. I told so many people that i NEVER
want a beta unless i want too. 

Second:

It was supposed to be just a one-shot and the idea just got stick to my head.
So I posted it right away and I hate beta since beta reader's take's a LONG
time to edit and thus it could take months.

Hey, I tried!  According to her profile, she is a 20 year old who is in her 3rd year at a Community College. Community Colleges have 2 year programs.  I think this speaks for itself.
Anyone who just says, 'hey I don't need a beta', well...what can you say?

I made the mistake of trying to explain to DD that one of the stories he was defending was plagerized.  He sent a vile spew of a reply so I blocked him.  Today I notice he sent a review to my one story, with a different name.  This one has waaaay to much time on his hands but the 'review' is a hoot, so I share it with you all:

Hee-hee, I wonder if he sat up all night losing sleep thinking this one up?  It just goes to show what FFN has been reduced to these days. I will stick with Gurabite.  At least he bumped my review number up!

Ok, my first post and I know it's not technically a story, but My God!

A fanatic who goes by Duck Dodgers VI has been spamming  FFN with  his/her  rants about  flames on  this site.  Yes, the flames ar e  apparently not even on FFN, but DD posts them faithfully, verbatim, "to warn others".  Some of the stories that have been flamed are pretty bad, but DD doesn't seem to believe in freedom of speech.

First of all, this story was plagerized from another author. Trying to point this out to this negative IQ person is pointless, because if you read the reviews, DD rants and spews at anyone who dares to disagree with him/her/it.  When it writes, one can almost see the spit fly and bubble around its mouth.  And it can't write a coherent sentence to save its life. One of these would be bad enough, but DD has posted about 22 of them.  Of course, FFN will do nothing.  Now I know why I spend so much time at Gurabite!

Hypothetical situation (which has undoubtably happened to some): You come up with a distinctive fic idea you think will be great. Shortly after the idea surfaces, so does a badfic-- using exactly the concept you had in mind but executing the fic horribly.

I haven't been this evil in years! I guess fanfic this terrible hasn't popped up in years, either.

How is this for a stellar review of "I Saw Daddy..." - I got from our fragile flower:

Okay, this person is really irritating...

Consider redrose (http://fiction.gurabiteshiyon.net/…), who cannot write herself out of a paperbag and deletes any review on gurabite that says her writing is terrible, which it is. I should know, because my reviews continue to be deleted, as well as other peoples' reviews saying the same thing.

I knew I should have kept copies of those reviews, so I could repost them until I chased her away.

Consider the first chapter of the first 'story', loving another, posted:

it started off as another day for shuichi. he woke up at 7:00 in the morning. when he looked at the clock he realised that he was late for a meeting, 'oh shit i am late for my meeting with the band'.

That's right, cats and kitties. That's all there is to a first chapter! In that one sentence, we have capitalisation issues, a formatting problem and spelling/grammar bending.

Honestly, I thought this person had left after the first post in Sept. 2007. But no, back she came this month, with a second chapter (not in her "i" and "u" style). She has posted two more travesties posting as fiction in quick succession, with one reviewer (now deleted) saying she didn't write HE DOESN’T LIKE YOU RYUICHI! because the reviewer had read it before, and another SHUICHI SHINDOU, whose summary is 'THE BEST OF MY STORYS' and this is all there is so-called 'story':

'I WATCHED YOU FALL, I HAVE WATCHED YOU CRY. I HATE TO SEE THAT HAPPEN SHUICHI I CANT BARE THE PAIN' DID YOURE EYES SHINE WHEN YOU FIRST SAW ME? I NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING THATS WRONG WITH YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHEN YOU FEEL BETTER. DO YOU THINK THAT YOU COULD ANSWER MY QUSETIONS?WHY DO YOU CRY?"
"WHY DO I CRY OVER YOU? I AM I LOVE WITH YOU SHUICHI. I WAS SHOCKED WHEN YOU CALLED ME BEAUTIFUL I TUCHED ME SO MUCH I CRYED FOR 2 DAYS. IT'S BEEN 2 YEARS SINCE WE LAST HAS SEX SHUICHI. I KNOW I MEAN TO YOU EVERY-DAY BUT I STILL LOVE YOU. I KNOW THAT YOU WILL FORGIVE ME, BECAUSE YOU LOVE ME TOO." " I CANT LIE TO YOU ANYMORE I HAVE TO TELL YOU WHAT I FEEL."
A FEW DAYS PAST SINCE SHUICHI AND EIRI HAD TALKED TO EACHOTHER. SHUICHI WAS NERVIS TO TELL YUKI WHAT HE FELT, WHEN HE ARRIVED AT THE HOUSE SHUICHI WENT SRIGHT TO YUKI'S OFFICE AND SAID.

"YUKI I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING AND I FORGIVE YOU"

So, are your eyes bleeding yet?

It is difficult to even imagine someone writing this poorly, but we have a winner!

The little dear changed her profile today, after deleting four reviews from me and many more from others:

i love to write but i lost the paper that i made to iput on here so give me a break whoever does not like my storys i am new at this ok if u want give me pointers on how to do this ok u may add to my storyif u like,but do not put me down for trying. if u want to help fine but i wil not be made a fool cause u mean people say that stuff about a story of mine that i worked 2 weeks on gve me a break i need everyone that does not like my storys to stop leaving bad reviews if u are goin to then dont even think about leaving one.

You are not being made a fool, you do that to yourself without any help from reviewers.

One of my reviews even gave writing links to help, but it was deleted. So much for accepting pointers.

It doesn't help matters when someone called pinkrose keeps encouraging this dreck. Hmm, pinkrose... redrose... they seem to be in communication about betaing and phone calls, with names like that. They could be sibs, friends, or the same person.

So, who is with me? If we repost the same reviews and make her remove them over and over again, do you think she will give up and go away?

Summary: A girl suddenly finds herself in the center of Tokyo's most wildest inner circle.


Real Summary: American TransferStudentStepsister Sue comes to Japan due to her mother marrying Shuichi's father and plans to have an awesome social life in Tokyo, by using her association with her new step brother Shuichi.

Which made me sad, because I clicked on the story assuming that this could be a story about maybe Ayaka or Maiko dealing with their boyfriend/brother's celebrity pulling them into a new crowd they aren't ready to handle. Or even a post series fic about Mika, dealing with the fact that her various relationships have pulled her into a lifestyle that's very different from being the daughter of a Buddhist monk.

Wishful thinking aside, I'll admit, I give this Sue credit for one thing: being Shuichi's sister by marriage instead of by blood. She loses though for treating this whole remarriage/moving to a whole knew country as an excuse to "burst out on the scene." Which she repeats to us often.

It sounds like she is trying to organize a RP on gurabite! She says, Email(I need it so you can email your parts):. Sounds like a type of role-play to me.

Luckily, I haven't had to respond - four people have done so currently and none are positive.

Sorry I usually don't like 2 b negative in my reviews but this time I have 2. I totally agree with BLT, please don't do it anymore, this is getting ridiculous. I don't think there is a person here interested in this kind of s***. If you truly like gravi and wanna write go ahead, but if you R just using this site to share whatever crap comes to your head then leave. there are plenty of good stories by good writers and true fans getting pushed to the side to make space for your s***.

I just don't understand the gall this person has to continue this. Is freelova a troll? She doesn't seem to torture ff.net, a place where she would probably get some kind of positive response! She can gather all her dying friends (did you all catch that on that last Mary Sue fic?) together and pollute ff.net all she wants and no one will care.

Or maybe this is just a Halloween trick! It's most definitely... oops! forgot the correct badFic spelling - definately! - not a treat!
