The Ethics of Fabulous

Would it be unethical of me to try out for my school's production of The Vagina Monologues?

Or does my lack of a vagina exclude me from being in a play about it?

Would/should I be open with a casting director about my status, or should I just, you know, don't ask don't tell?

I'd ask some of the tg groups but I don't feel like being e-yelled at.
