Promotion XP and Rank

Southside Games edited this page May 8, 2026 · 1 revision

Promotion Rank is a player-level progression track that advances through completing Rift battles.

It is separate from individual Bitling levels and represents overall player progress through the game's encounter systems.

Overview

Every time a Rift battle is completed with a wild Bitling present, Promotion XP is awarded.

As XP accumulates, the player's Promotion Rank increases. Higher ranks represent deeper engagement with the game's battle systems.

Earning Promotion XP

Promotion XP is awarded at the end of any Rift battle where a wild Bitling was present.

Training battles do not count toward Promotion XP.

Outcome Base XP
Victory 10
Defeat or escape 2

In addition to the base amount, bonus XP is added based on the level of the wild Bitling.

The bonus equals the wild's level multiplied by 0.15, rounded to the nearest whole number.

The total XP earned per battle is capped at 50 regardless of how high the wild's level is.

Ranking Up

When Promotion XP reaches the threshold for the next rank, the rank increases automatically.

Once the maximum rank is reached, XP gain stops. There is no overflow or prestige system beyond the maximum rank.

  • Wild level adds bonus XP at a rate of 0.15 per level
