Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What kinds of organizers do you like to hold your arts and crafts supplies?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

You don't do anything by halves, do you? Nearly a hundred pumpkins! But it gives you the chance to experiment with various colours, which should be fun.

That sounds really nice. There's so many colors of pumpkins.

Another item ticked off my to-do list: I've finished the second little purse.

Here are both little darlings in their rather modest glory:

Size and shape are different, as the original shoulder pads were different, too.

Today's creative activity is cooking a crockpot meal mostly with leftover bits and pantry staples. \o/

I bought yarn today. And I mended one tiny little thing that had been sitting in the basket.

The weather has not been very cooperative but I should be able to do more house siding repair tomorrow.

No new foster dog yet.

This morning I knitted 4 more rows on cable blanket on the off chance it was going to get hot again. (Fog moved in and saved us from that.)

I had an unexpected invitation to go to a craft fair with a friend, so I did that. Which meant I was also able to give her the box of ribbon I'd promised her. The fair itself was a little disappointing. The artisans selling their wares were all amazing, but the vibes of the fair itself were off. The promoters just wanted yet another festival with loud music and lots of opportunities to get very drunk. The main highlights for us were a woman selling oddities, a woman who made jewelry from fired pinecones, and a crochet artist I am a big fan of has started sell ducky mystery boxes and I bought one. They were all local.

After that, I finally tested hot gluing one of the magnets I bought to the back of the sample bottle cap art I made with Lynne last week. Now I just have to remember to actually set up my bag for tomorrow.

Thanks! Kinda yay fog. The daytime fog in the summer is what keeps us from the boiling temperatures here and it rarely gets thick or low to the ground, so hindered visibility isn't an issue, unless you're out on a boat. (Nighttime fog and winter fog are different beasts, admittedly.)

It really does not. I hope it didn't turn off the vendors from coming back for other fairs & festivals.

Thanks!

I enjoy fog, especially at night when it makes everything a bit spooky and I get to stay inside to watch it.

*fingers crossed*
