Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What kinds of organizers do you like to hold your arts and crafts supplies?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Timing is everything - and so is being methodical. I still have four mini-Teddies to sew together. *sigh*

Excellent timing.

Great job on the bees.

Culinary crafting today: I made jam. Again. Trying out interesting new jam recipes has become a hobby lately. Today it was apricots with rosemary; it tastes great.

Sounds delicious.

wrists are in the frustrating "feeling better until I try to use them" zone, but I do have a Confession for the weekly question

I keep my WiPs in plastic trash bags >.>

when I actually went places, this was to protect them from rain because I live somewhere very rainy and can't drive, now it's a mix of habit and "I know things won't get jumbled or lost if every project has its own bag"

'long as I don't push it, I think they'll be usable again soon! seems I stopped in time, fortunately

it's just very annoying to be in that in-between zone lol

Hope your wrists recover soon.

As someone who also lives somewhere very rainy and can't drive, plastic trash bags are a very practical option. When everything I did had to be portable, I did the same thing. As well as sealable storage bags in various sizes for the small stuff.

Yesterday was the Poetry Fishbowl on "Fun with Language." Today has been largely sending out prompter copies from that.

>> This Week's Question: What kinds of organizers do you like to hold your arts and crafts supplies? <<

All kinds. Most of the scrapbooking stuff is in a zippered case, and some of the paper is in button-string closed envelope things. Jewelry supplies are in a tacklebox. Sewing thread has a rack on the wall. Yarn is in plastic tubs. Seeds are in big divided plastic tubs. And so on.

Well done!

Very nice.

Every once in a while, there is an item for which a purpose-made storage unit is the best possible solution, and sewing thread is one of those.

Tonight, I knitted 2 rows on the cable blanket. I tested out using medical tape instead bandaids to cushion/protect my fingers and it worked pretty well. It's a cheaper option too, so hopefully it wasn't a fluke.
