It's not the fact in itself that we are polluting the planet, it is the fact that there are so many of us doin it! There's 6 billion of us and counting. Everybody wants to live a comfortable life and they deserve to, but when you multiply that by 6 billion it becomes unsustainable. Now I'm not tryin to say that everyone is out there just bein wasteful, the majority of people can't afford to be. But the mass of humanity no matter how small the contribution to the problem, is humongous when one adds it up. Another problem we are having is we have always modified nature to fit our needs, we need to modify our needs to fit nature. We can build underground where the need for ac/heating is not needed, of course the lighting bill will go up a bit, but the cost is still lower and so's the usage of energy. This also gives nature a larger playin field above ground as well as crop production, it will eliminate the need for transportation if we plan properly and have jobs for people where they live. We could have above ground transportion for those long journeys to visit family and friends, as long as it's elevated so not to disturb the flora and fauna. We can have solar panel towers and windmill farms for all our energy needs.

As you can see, these are just my ideas just think of what can be devised when it's in everybodys interest and they all think things out eh. Of course I'm just skimmin the surface of what can be done here.  What are some of your ideas?

Hello Stormy, Thanks for posting, I thought I was the only Gaian for awhile there. Been searching for someone to learn with. And to the rest of the members hello.

The eyes see many kinds of dirt, but the heart does not see any.

The ears hear many kinds of dirt, but the heart does not hear any.

The nose smells many kinds of dirt, but the heart does not smell any.

The mouth talks many kinds of dirt, but the heart does not talk any.

The body touches many kinds of dirt, but the heart does not touch any.

The mind thinks many kinds of dirt, but the heart does not think any.


If any one is confused, the main message is you will see and hear negative things, everywhere, for the rest of time. It is what your precieve it as, that will control how your attitude about life becomes.

So many people spend most of their lives being negative about everything, I wonder at times if there is any room for joy. People get sick of hearing "everything happen's for a reason", "silver lining to every cloud" speeches, I know I do. But I do believe out of every tragedy comes good, out of every flaw in life comes understanding.

Near this Yule/Christmas season let us try to focus not on the dirt in life, but the good things, and maybe if we can, some of the dirt will be less negative also.

The words above can almost mean a great many things other then the idea I am getting, so if they mean something else to you, please tell me.

I thought some people in here may be interested in a blog I'm writing on a different site (mostly because I really don't understand how this one works), I figure people may be open to it on seeing the latest post from the bosses on this community.  It will have alot of different subjects that will be in the broad categories of paganism (mostly my practices and or revelations), Gardening (my potted plants), cooking vegetarian food, environmental stuff and permutations and combinations of the above.  If anyone is interested, just wants to learn, ect take a peek if not its all gravy.
