Come on In!

Mother is definitely givin us some warm weather eh.  Been tryin to get here for a few days but I seem to be having trouble with my IP. Usually (the last few weeks anyhoo) I barely get my emails read and blam, I lose my connection. Or, I can't even log in to my IP. I'm wonderin is it me? My machine? The IP? Or the internet itself? Oh well, I've made it today, so far so good.

Not a whole lot goin on in these parts for me anyhoo. The local Flora is really doin great tho, Mother has givin them the right amounts of rain, sun and temps and believe me they're takin it to the green. My neighbors have a farm and a nice vegetable patch, they have been givin me all kinds a veggies. My grass is growin profusely, that's ok tho, I got me a new mower that makes quick, I mean real quick work of the cutting. It's a self propelled, the first time I used it, I engaged the drive and it took off!  It was goin so fast my feet were danglin in the wind and I was hangin on for dear life haha. Since then I've managed to slow it down to a brisk jog, I'm mowin the grass in half the time I'm used to.

Well it's happened to me again! I got knocked offline, better end while I can.

Well once again Mother has blessed us with a wunnerful day, Thanks Mother! I really don't know where to start? So many things have happened since I seriously wrote last. Let's start w/the best first, I am now 60 yrs young, I got a raise on my annuity via lower taxes, my life has had no major obstacles, health is good. Now the bad, My very best friend ever Boogie (my dog) was hit and killed by a car back in April, she was 15 yrs. old, I truly miss her (my soulmate). I have more grey hair and wrinkles haha, my lower taxes weren't enuff to overcome the higher costs of health insurance, I can no longer afford some bud {:o(, worst of all my son has become an addict of prescription pain killers!!!

I've been watchin the politicians on the telly, what's up w/the Republicans? They don't seem to have much care for the common man lately. Don't they realize that if the extensions on unemployment benefits end there's gonna be a rise in crime? Not to mention the overall pic of good honest Americans suffering? It seems that the so called "Tea Party" has them runnin scared, this party (?) must be composed of fairly well to do folks cause they don't have any regard for the common folks, they wanna cut spending by eliminating such things as Education funds. This is what our country was like many years ago, If you had money, you had a good education, if you were poor, your chances of improving were almost nil due to just a basic education. I just don't understand how the Republicans want us to return to the good ol days of low deficits. These folks are the ones that raided our social security funds to the point that they are no longer existant, Reagan fixed it alright, he eliminated the fund. I'm sitting here listenin to the radio right now. They're talkin about the states all runnin high deficits, why? Cause the fed no longer is giving them the funding for all the programs that have been started over the years by the fed. This money has been diverted to Iraq so those poor folks can have a good education, health care, etc. We should have never gone in there in the first place!

Enuff ranting, I better get along.

Such a beautiful day! Thanks Mother.  Yep here I am after weeks of absence (and not cause they sent the truant officer after me, I dodged that one) wondering if anybody I know is still here. I've been spendin a lot o time at PaganSpace.net, the folks there are wunnerful, like the folks here. I really need to keep up with all my journals eh? Well I'm gonna look see who still remembers me, Blessings Everyone!

Fortune and luck are not the same, some folks are born into fortune and luck is not something that just happens, it's a result of good decision making. Some people are cursed only to the point that they don't make good decisions now resulting in bad things happening later. 

Another day in the fields of life eh, Thanks Mother. Been dealin with many things over the last week including this damn BiPolar downer. I've had time to write, just not the urge to do so. My DP's daughter is going thru a separation from her hubby and it's not a peaceful thing to behold. He's withdrawn all the money from the bank account, tried to get her thrown out of her apt and also tried to break her fingers. So my DP bein a good Mom has gone to the rescue and is now about 500 mi. from home. She's a little woman and no match for a fellow in his 20's, I'm worried for her.

On the brighter side of life my furnace is workin good haha. It's kinda chilly round these parts, 45f  day and night w/rain. I'm thankful that Mother has provided me w/the means necessary to survive comfortably and worried that I won't be able to meet the challenge imposed by my fellow man, to wit the Bill! But somehow I'll make it, I always do haha. Feelin fairly good tho, this is the most important thing to me next to family. Man this Espresso sure is good this fine morn mmmm! And the baccy is sweet, two of my vices (I might have a coupla more vices but not many overall), I at least have these creature comforts for now. My kittens are now 12 weeks old and VERY healthy, guess that pureed dog food is great for nursin babes (feline of course).

I have a wedding to go to this comin weekend, would you believe my auto mechanic is gettin hitched? We were really surprised when we received the invite haha, I mean how many people get an invite to go to their auto mechanics wedding. He's a good guy tho and so is his Fiancee! He's always available to fix our vehicles, always charges well under the goin prices, about 50% less and does a terrific job. So why not go to his hitchin and celebrate his great day eh. Keep warm everyone!!

Mother has given us another fine day, Thanks Mom! Not on here as much as I need to be I KNOW haha. Been doin many things, preparin for the colder weather..........SAY didn't I just do this a month or 2 ago? Wow, the perception of time really sucks, both at the early and late stages of life. Ya know, when ya was young time seemed to drag, when am I gonna be a teen? Man adulthood is a distant thought.....etc. Now it's.....wow is it October already? Didn't I just do my tax returns.......Hey I'm still payin off last years Christmas debt....etc. I don't celebrate Christmas, but I do Honor Yule. I don't buy anybody presents and ya know what? They don't get me anything either! This is all well with my inner being, this way I don't feel guilty. My Dp's Birthday is this month, we used to spend $50 on each other then we realized that we could just get what we want for our Birthday, with your present money.....same diff, right? Anyhoo I get my sweetie little whatnots durin the year and she in turn gets me some O' Colonel Sanders stuff, providin I make the sides. Yep food is my most treasured thing in the whole of PanGaia. Although it may be a fleeting luv affair, once it's down it's forgotten....lest it causes gastronomical distoibances. But the stuffed shirt satisfaction that one receives from that 7 hoibs and spices is undeniably exquisite. And RARE! Don't have the funds we once did to make it a standard meal anymore. Think I'm gonna pine away here.

Ah another wonderful day thanks Mother! Guess I should consider myself lucky as far as health goes. I don't have any life threatenin illnesses, just 4 bulgin discs in the spine haha, commonly called degenerative arthritis (osteo). I get some pain that makes me wish I was dead sometimes but it's far from fatal. I also have good health insurance that's affordable, altho all I use it for is to get my Meds for my BiPolar. I'm a strong believer in herbal cures and for the most part they work fine. I think the problem is the ages we are livin to nowadays, it's just not natural. Now I'm not advocating that we move back to the stone age, but we were not meant to live into our 90's. Did you know that back in Henry the VIII's time they called one old if you made it to your 50's, they were called the terrible 50's because of all the degenerative diseases that people were afflicted with, I can believe it considerin I've had my probs since my early 40's. I am now gettin ready to celebrate my 60th birthday. I can understand that nobody wants to die, I myself would like to live forever haha. But did you know that there are more people alive now than the sum of all the people that have lived before. It's no wonder there is so many problems in the world, us humans are quite wasteful and many of us have a disregard for our environment, which would be negligable if our numbers were smaller, but you see whats happenin around us. I heard someone the other day quote the world population as 4.5 billion! How do we find jobs for all these folks? It's no wonder that all of our entitlements are straining to stay afloat and that there are so many wars, there's just more people than is natural. Mother Nature has a way of culling the herd by introducing new diseases and from laboratory studies we find that overcrowding is so stressful to any species that they turn on themselves in killing frenzies. You don't have to have a highly developed brain to kill over resources, they claim the Polar Bears do this to each other when they get short on food and in the Lab Rats will kill each other if they are overcrowded regardless of the resources. I guess that's why the crime rates in the city are so high compared to rural areas. If we don't find a humane way to cut our numbers we will be thrusted into an oblivion of our own making. Maybe that's what Dec 23 2012 has in store for us eh?

Such a nice day around here, thank you Mother. Man o man, I've been trying to get to this journal but between the kittens and the BiPolar it's been a lame attempt. Been on an unusually long negative slide w/my BiPolar and trying to figure out what sparked it? The kittens are doin fine, they've been weaned and are gettin big. I was at the vets the other day and inquired about a shelter for them, he told me all the shelters are killin cause they're so crowded. Thats not gonna happen here! Guess I'm stuck w/em, but at worst they'll only be put out of the house. And I don't mean taken for a ride, I'll continue to feed em, but they'll have to fend for themselves w/everything else.

You would think w/all the time I've been away, I'd have somethin to talk about, but it's el blanco. I did watch the Pres Sunday, and I'm not so sure I like his health care plan w/out the public option. He says those w/out coverage will be fined for it. He compared it to auto insurance, the catch is if you don't wanna pay for auto Ins don't drive. This policy of mandating we have a health care plan or else is a little far out. Now if the public option was part of the deal I could see where the fines would go to support the public option, w/out the public op where does the money go? Well I for one have decent health insurance coverage and probably will after this plan is put into effect, but it's just the idea of Big Bro tellin us what we MUST do. It's like the seat belt law and smokin, Big Bro is just doin what us poor ignorant folks don't have enuff sense to do for ourselves. Bah Humbug!

Another wonderful day, brought to us by Mother. Just wanna say thanks for the kind words that some of you have left regarding my last post. I've been workin overtime here tryin to keep up w/the kittens and doin my other household chores. Me and the DP have a role reversal relationship, she goes to work, I stay home w/the kids haha. The kids (kittens) are doin fine, they love the mushy dog food and are prosperin because of it, now if I can find em homes before they multiply haha. I found out that takin care of kitty babies is a lot harder than takin care of people babies, my ankles are raw from them tryin to climb up em. On the Sons' homefront everything is goin great, he's actually found himself a job! Poor guy is bad BiPolar, a family trait unfortunately, but hard at it tryin to overcome.

Well enuff of this blabberin! I'm off to see my LJ friends to find whats up w/them.

I see Mother has blessed us all with another fine day, Thanks Mom! The Nectar is flowin and the smoke is waftin here. Boy when problems arrive they don't waste any time invitin their friends to the party. I'm not wantin to complain here cause that's a waste but for those of you that think YOU have probs, listen to this haha. First, I've been on the down side of my BiPolar for the last week, part of my reason for not writin. Second, if you read some of my previous posts you know one of my cats had a litter about 3 weeks ago. Well, Blessings to her, she died on friday morn. Now I have 6 little ones who I not only have to find good homes for, but now I have to make sure they reach the age of separation. I never knew exactly what a momma cat has to do for her young till now. Gotta make the formula, feed each one w/a dropper, clean em up afterward and make sure they don't get into anything their not suppose to. Guess I,m doin ok tho,  they haven't died. As a matter of fact they're layin by my feet right now, playin w/each other, hooray! Say sorta reminds me of when I took care of my own offspring when they were a tender age. My son had some formula from when he took in a 3 week old and gave it to me. Just enuff to last till Monday tho, I'm currently broke so I'm gonna have to make some formula from what I have around the house. I learned that dry dog food run thru a blender w/water and made real soupy can provide the nourishment they need to grow strong. Got all that stuff so I guess they'll be all right.

Third, my son is havin trouble w/his cousin, my Nephew from a previous marriage. This fella is an ok guy I thought, I've known him all his life, NOT. Now this fella was convicted of a sex offense and served 4 years in the state pen. He was released but put on probation for 6 years. He needed a place to stay when he was released so my Son said you can stay w/me. I taught my Son the value of Family and he really loves his cousin. This fella's mother won't even take him in, not cause she's ashamed, but because he gonna put a dent in her lifestyle. When you have someone on parole livin in your house your subject to unannounced searches by his parole officer so if your doin somethin you shouldn't, you may be in trouble. My Son is willing to put up w/these searches for the sake of a family member, plus numerous other restrictions, especially for a convicted sex offender. I say convicted because as I said I've known him all his life and didn't think he was guilty of the crime. The other day my Son went to a job interview and left his Dom Partner at home w/fella. Son was only gone for about 10 mins when fella opens the door to his room, standin there naked w/an erection askin the DP to come in and get it on! THAT'S a sex crime eh. Guess he was guilty as charged the first get go, for obvious reasons,no?  Anyhoo, my Son finds out about this and comes to me for advice cause he's conflicted about family/personal life. So had to help him work things out in his mind as to what to do. He finally decided to just move him out w/out prejudice. Fella your Lucky my Family has some respect for one another or you'd be back in the hoosgow.

Fourth, and least of my probs, my internet security system has been downloadin some pretty heavy stuff to my puter. This either slows me down to a crawl or just doesn't allow me to do anything. And it's makin me a very frustrated camper!!
