🚨 An urgent humanitarian appeal for my friend Abdulrahman and his family
I am writing this post on behalf of my friend Abdulrahman, as words fail to capture the magnitude of the loss and pain he has endured. Abdulrahman has lost his mother—the person dearest to him. She had been battling cancer, and throughout this time, he had pleaded for help to secure her treatment; however, she passed away amidst the Israeli blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip and the inability to access the medical care and treatment she desperately needed. The loss did not end with his mother... Just a week ago, Abdulrahman also lost his maternal uncle and his cousin. Before he could even begin to process his grief over them, he found himself facing yet another tragedy.
Today, his nephew requires an urgent, life-critical surgery costing 700 euros. This child, too, has tasted the bitterness of loss; his father was killed during the war on the Gaza Strip. I do not want to see my friend lose another member of his family. He has endured enough loss, and today, he needs someone to stand by his side.
