Watcher-R is an enemy in Final Fantasy X-2.

Battle
Watcher-R casts somewhat powerful magic, but can be easily defeated by a physical attack. True to its name, it watches the party, and then reports the moves used in battle to the Machina Panzer. When fighting the Panzer, the attacks used against the Watcher will be unusable. For this reason, it is important that when one encounters a Watcher, always destroy it first with normal attacks.
All Watchers must be approached with caution as they can inflict Sleep and then Poison on the party, leaving them there to die as they cannot wake them up, due to the fact that they do not have any physical attacks. This is the same for Watcher-A and Watcher-S.
Watcher-Rs lock out one's recovery abilities.
They cease from spawning altogether once Machina Panzer has been defeated in the New Cave, and it can even occur when the party visits Via Infinito.
